The Evolved Vampire: Fangless (Book 2)

I walked out my bedroom door, locking it behind me. Suddenly, my throat started humming and stinging, indicating I have to feed soon. I pressed the elevator button and waited for its doors the open.

Before my eyes, the most beautiful human I have ever seen was inside the elevator, looking down at the ground. She tried to walk past me without even knowing I was there, but she banged into my chest and looked up. I smelt all her warm blood pumping round her body, making my mouth water with just a thought.

I was pretty surprised when she said she was a vampire, but i had seen it time and time again. "Prove it" I told her. I saw the large smirk on her face when her palms lit up with flickering flames of blue. I had never seen such a gift before, and for a human. Before I could say anything, she attacked me with the fire, throwing me into the air and scraping me across the rough carpet. As I slid to a stop, she somehow teleported in front of me and put her sharp heel on my neck, slowly digging me deep into the ground. She was very strong for a human. I struggled as she smirked into my eyes, making me defeat even more shaming. 

I lifted my bruised hand as she grabbed it, pulling me to my weakened feet. I smiled best I could as I stared into her eyes. I knew then and there she was my beloved, but she didn't look at me the same way. She looked at me with just a friendly look, not plain love. I believed she was a vampire before, but changing into a human has blocked out most of the connection, lowering my confidence. I held my straight smile towards her, making it look like i had thought of nothing but her.

Before i could grab her, she slowly walked towards her door and closed it smiling. As it gave a gentle slam, i knew id do anything to save her. I turned around, but before me, a guy in a raven black cloak faced me, gloomy shadow lingering over his face. "Can I help you?"

He didn't reply, so i tried to shove him out the way, pushing myself through. He stopped me, and immediately took off his hood. He had dark brown hair with red highlights and a dark complexion. He started tugging at my soul with his energy, draining my soul and fangs. When he was done, I fell to the floor defeated.

He disappeared in mid air, before leaving me on the floor.

After a while i stood up with human speed. drained entirely. "What? Ill feel better when i get some sleep" I thought, before going into my blue room and dreaming off on my feather filled pillow...
