Saved... For A Bad Cause

I awoke in a dark cell consumed in darkness. Only a simple, flickering lights shone darkly from the ceiling, pushing the room into the dark then back to the light.

I squinted my eyes as I reached for a bar handle, pulling my weak body to my knobbly human feet. I stood for a few seconds, adjusting my body to my feet, steadying my legs. Before I even let go of the bars, a familiar voice spurted out across the dark space, sharpening my low senses. "I see your awake Lee. I've been waiting here for a long time..."

"Hello again Kenneth. I see your still here as well. What do you want from me? You already took my fangs and immortality. Are you planning on doing something worse?!"

"Calm calm my dear Lee. I'm not planning anything harmful for you, I'm just telling you why I did what I did"

"Go on..."

Kenneth's sharp figure shot in front of me, eyes staring at my body alarming my senses.

"Well, your powers are more, well, powerful than you think. I took them to... resurrect all the vampires your mum killed about 20 years ago."

I was shocked, but kept a straight face, looking him in the eye.

"What else, what's the catch?"

"There is no catch dear, just that I'll return your powers once I overrun your family of royals" he said, rubbing my cheek as a large smirk stretched on his face. I smacked his hand away, only fuelling his hate fire.

He tutted while pulling his hand knife from his mini scabbard.

"Don't be a naughty girl missy, don't want anyone getting hurt now do we..." He said, waving the knife around my throat, making it linger around the skin.

"That's not nice is it?" said a familiar female voice. Kenneth turned, only to stare into my mothers soft eyes while Her blonde hair flew past her ribs.

I smiled as she dashed towards Kenneth, hands touching his shoulder slightly,shocking him. He fell to the floor, blacked out. My mum walked towards me and punched a hole into the bars. I stepped out and hugged her tightly, but she didn't return the affection. I knew she was hiding something.

"Lee, um, I need to tell you something. You have to go"

"Holiday? To the North Pole? Why and were mum?"

"I mean..." she swiped her hand across her neck.

Lee gasped. "what?! Why?! Why?!"

"You need too. Our kind will die if not. Please Lee!"

Lee nodded, forgetting what Kenneth would do soon.

My mum lifted me off the ground and smashed her way through the doors, returning me home. I don't know how I'm gonna face my family...
