The Evolved Vampire: Fangless (Book 2)

FANGS!!!

I looked at the ground sadly as I watched my parents fate before me. Something was trying to push it away into me, a force unknown. I turned to see Harold walking slowly towards me, I ran to him, hugging him tightly. He seemed weaker than usual.

I touched his cheek, warm. Oh No! Not him too. "Harold! What happened to you?!"

"I was drained of my fangs Susan!"

"Harold! I'm not Susan! I'm Lee, daughter of the Huntress and 3rd in line for the Royal throne!"

I expected him to be amazed, but he remained calm and smiled.

"I knew Lee, I knew from the start."

"How?"

"I can read minds. I guessed you would tell me when you were ready."

I stared deep into his lips but hovered away. I felt my fangs grow back, powering up my body. My eyes turned deep black before I felt full again, a vampire again. I turned to look at Kenneth, towering above my mother. I snarled and sped towards him. I landed a hard punch to his chest pushing him back. Harold assisted my mother and father to the mansion.

"Just you and me Kenneth!"

"We will see who wins this one"

I made the first move. His defences were sloppy and weak. I pushed past them easily and kicked him hard in his area, before doing a round the house kick to his chin, which sent him in the air, then stumbling down. I called a blood cobra from the grass. It slowly slithered up to him and onto his pounding chest. The vampire cobra hissed before digging its fangs into his heart, sucking the cold blood from his body, slowly killing him. I gladly watched as he died in front of me.

"Fuck you bitch!" he said, before dropping dead. I picked up the cobra and looked deep into its deadly eyes. Then I put my hands onto the ground and it slithered off before disappearing from sight. The battle stopped due to Kenneth's death. All remaining rogues were kept prisoners and the dead were removed and set alight.

The threat had gone, but my father on the other hand....
