The Evolved Vampire: Fangless (Book 2)

Terrible Truth!

I forced my eyes to awaken while the warm beams of the sun showered over me. I rubbed my forehead, totally drained of my energy. "Ugh.. What happened?..." I stood up in human speed, rolling my shoulders. I shook my legs, getting a fair amount of blood in them. I touched my cheek, warm, not cold.

I struggled and got into the position to speed. When I ran, I realised I wasn't going in fast speed, I was going in... Human speed. I stopped and gawked. "How, why, when?!" I thought. I warm blood, no speed, can't jump as high. I'm... I'm... Human...." I mumbled. I checked to see if my gifts were still with me. I created blue flames in my hand, lighting them up. I teleported to the other side if a tree. I sighed a deep sigh if relief. At least I have my powers.

I made the long walk home, taking me 2 hours. "Why do I have to go so deep into the forest?!" I asked myself, using all the strength in my arms to knock on the door. It swung open, and I was caught in my mothers arms, dangling.
"Lee, LEE?!" I heard her shout. I slowly closed my eyes, watching more blurry figures lift me up and take me to the medical room...

1 hour later...

I opened my aching eyes, bracing the light that came flying towards me. I looked around the medical room, finding my mum crying in my dad's arms. "Mum...?" I said with a slow, tired voice. She stared at me, them started crying deeply. Something was defiantly up with her. "Mum, Dad... What's going *cough* on?" I asked.y mum out on her best brave face and said, "Your ill Lee, but we'll fix you up, I'm sure of it" My father beckoned her over, leading my mum out the room while a doctor came in. I gave a big gulp before he started talking. "Hello Lee. Looks like your ok."

"Yeah... I'm ok...." I replied, giving an innocent, fake smile.

"Well that's good then. Let's get back to the chase. You've got a rare disease called No-Fang. Its when the fang ability get sucked out your body, leaving you with half your natural vampire powers. Your gifts goes away as well."

I raised my eyebrow. "But I still have mine"

"Show me"

I created my flames, making him write something down on his notepad. "This shows that your beloved is still alive and looking for you"

"Ok...."

"How exactly did you lose your powers?"

"A guy I don't even know used kinetic energy"

"Then you must find your beloved, and stay with him, bond with him to regain my powers. But since your human, you'll have some problems with his FEEDING issues."

I gulped as he walked away. "Nite Nite"
He switched off the light, leaving me in the dark confused and afraid. "FEEDING issues?" I thought, crawling under the blanket.
