First days of the new year (High School)

Mackenzie's POV

Today is my first day of high school. My older sister Maddie already goes here and has become the queen of the royal bitches which i'm not surprised about. She also has a boyfriend. His name is Jacob and he's also a bitch which makes sense why they are dating. I always see them making out when i walk past Maddie's room. I don't know how she hasn't got caught by my mom or step-dad, but they're never home anyways. And today I have to ride on the bus with Maddie and Jacob and all their friends. I'm definitely not excited for it.

"Mackenzie. The bus is here." Maddie yells and I hear her walk outside.

"OK." I yell and grab my backpack and phone. Today i'm wearing a cropped hoodie that says just do it later, some high waisted jeans, and mint green vans. (Unlike the picture) I left my hair down and put on my glasses. I wore contacts all last year, but i'm tired of them and i don't have any more so i'm going to just wear my glasses. I got onto the bus and as I guessed, Maddie is in the back kissing Jacob. I look for a seat and there is an open seat next to this boy that was on his phone. "Hi, is this seat taken?" I ask him.

he looks up and says "uhh... no, um you can sit there." I'm not going to lie, he's pretty cute.

I put my backpack on the ground at sat down. "I'm Mackenzie."

"I'm Johnny."

"What grade are you in?"

"Um.. 9th."

"That's cool. I am too. What's your schedule. I can see if we have any classes together." He hands me his schedule and i pull out mine. "we have homeroom, math, English, and history together."

"I don't mean to sound dumb, but what's homeroom. I didn't have that at my old school."

"Oh, that's the first class you go to in the morning. You hear the announcements and you get any papers that they need to pass out."

"Oh, ok."

"My sister, She's in the back probably making out with her boyfriend, Is going to show me and my friends where my homeroom class. You can come with us if you want."

"Ok sure. My sister is also a freshman, but she met a friend that lives next to us so she's sitting with her, but she might need help too."

"What's your sister's name?"

"Lauren."

"Cool. My sister's name is Maddie, but we don't have to ever see her and the other royal bitches every again during school after today though." i point to them in the back and he looks at them.

"Really, the royal bitches." he says and laughs

"Hey i didn't come up with it, but i'm still going to call them it."

"Ok." The bus stops at our school and we all get off. Johnny and I step off to the side and wait for his sister and her friend. Two girls come off and Johnny says "Lauren, Brynn" They turn around and walk over. I know Brynn. She dances at the Aldc with me.

"Did you already get a girlfriend Johnny?" A girl says, who i'm assuming is Lauren.

"hey Kenzie." Brynn says.

"No, this is Mackenzie. Her sister is going to show us to our homeroom."

Then Maddie and Jacob walk off the bus holding hands. "Mackenzie. You and your friends can meet us outside the office building 5 minutes before the bell rings." she says with her attitude.

"Ok."I say and wave to them goodbye. Then i say to Johnny, "See, she even talks like a bitch," and he laughs. We all start walking into the school. "Where are your guys lockers?"

"Um, mine is by room 16." Johnny says

"Mine is by room 23." Lauren says.

"Mine is by room 46, Where is yours Brynn?"

"its by room 46 too." Brynn says.

"Well, Brynn and I will walk to our lockers and we'll meet you guys by the office building in 10 minutes."

"Ok," Johnny says.

"Sounds good." Lauren says then they walk towards where their lockers are.

Johnny's POV

Lauren and I start walking into the school. Since we're twins, we have the same homeroom so i have to see her once a day. Other than that we only have Math together which is 1st period. Lauren goes off to her locker and i walk into the hallway with mine. There is a guy that has the locker next to mine. he looks like your cliche popular kid. I start to open my locker when i hear, "Oh wait. You're the guy that walked in with Mackenzie this morning right?"

I turn to look at him, "uh, yeah."

"Well nice to meet you. I'm Mark. I've known Mackenzie and her family since like 1st grade."

"I'm Johnny."

"So are you two like a thing or something."

"No, i just met her this morning."

"Ok" He says. "Well i'll probably see you around. Bye." he says and walks away

I continue to open my locker. I empty out my backpack and then put my binder, a book, and my pencil case back in and walk to the offices. I see Lauren standing there and i walk over. "hey Lauren."

"Hi John. So did you find your locker okay?"

"Yea, i met this other kid named Mark that knew Mackenzie. His locker is right next to mine." Just then i see Mackenzie, Brynn, and Mark walking over to us.

They get to us. "hey guys. This is Mark. Mark this is Johnny and Lauren."

"I met Johnny. Our lockers are right next to each other."

"Oh cool. We just have to wait for Chloe, Jojo, Nia and Hayden" Just then 3 girls walk up to us.

"Hey Mackenzie."

"HI guys." She says giving them hugs. "Johnny, Lauren this is Chloe, Jojo, and Nia."She says pointing to each of the girls. "Girls this is Johnny and Lauren."

"When are the royal bitches showing up?" Nia asks.

"They should be here any minute."
