First days of the new year (High School)

Mackenzie's POV

It's been a month. It's been a month since Maddie talked to our school. It's been a month since anyone has talked to Jacob. It's been a month since people were scared of Maddie. It's also been a month since I've gone to the counselor. I haven't needed too. Everything is perfect and i don't need to talk about my feelings. the only feelings I need to talk about are to my friends. The ones about Johnny.  I don't know how i feel. I like him, but then again he's like my best friend. I just wish i knew what he felt.

Johnny's POV

"So does Johnny boy here got any crushes?" Hayden asks. Were with a bunch of the other guys, Tucker, Brandon, Drew, Cam. 

"There's one girl." Mackenzie.

"Are ya gonna ask her to the formal coming up?"

"Maybe, i don't think she likes me. We're really good friends though."

"Oh so it's one of the girls we sit with at lunch?" Drew says.

"Why would you think that?"

"Really good friends. They are practically the only people you talk too."

"Ok you have got me there?" If I tell them, they will just taunt me about it.

Mackenzie's POV

"So what's going on with you and my brother?" Lauren asks at our sleepover with the other girls.

"Nothing, i sware."

"Not how we see it."

"What are you trying to get out of me?"

"We know you like Johnny. You just have to tell him" Nia laughs.

"I can't tell him. It would ruin our friendship. Just like Me and Mark. He told me he liked me and now we don't talk."

"That won't happen with you and Johnny."

"How do you know?"

"He's my twin brother and we practically think the same things, kind of. I can kind of read his mind. I've known all his crushes." Lauren says.

"Stalker much."

"Hey it's what you get with a twin."

Johnny's POV

"Oh look, it's Johnny Boy's phone. Let's call Mackenzie."

"No. Don't"

"Aww she's Kenz💖💖"

"She put that in there. I didn't."

"Sure."

"Johnny. Now's not a good time" Mackenzie says.

"this is Tucker. Johnny has a very important question for you?"

"No i don't" i yell

Mackenzie's POV

What could tucker mean? All the girls are going "oooooo" while i'm here. We just talked about him and why did they call me?

"He definitely likes her." i hear Brynn whisper to Nia.

"Stop it guys." I say to them. I hear rustling on the other side of the phone and then a slam of a door. And another. And another. Then the phone call is disconnected. "That was weird. The call just ended"

"Ok, well I know Johnny is with all his friends right now at our house because I left so he had the house to do whatever he wanted, but I didn't expect this." Lauren told me.

"Yeah, but why would they call me?"

"Because he likes you and they can tell" Kalani practically yells from behind me and shakes my shoulders."

"You don't know that, and Lauren doesn't know that because of Twin Telepathy, and none of you know anything. For all we know he could hate me."

"Ok, Ok. Don't say to Johnny that I told you this, but he told me he liked you."

"He did?"

"Yeah, a while ago. He told me that he really liked you, but he thought that you would never like him. I thought the same thing until I actually looked at you. When you're around him, you're the happiest person in the world. Your emotion changes when you see him. I knew that you liked him just because of how you acted, but I didn't tell Johnny that because I wasn't completely sure. I told him that you were his best friends and he should at least be happy with that, but i know he wants to ask you out. I know he hates himself for not doing it earlier, and right now I know his friends are pressuring him into asking you out because that's what they do. They don't know he likes you, but in your contact name on his phone you put 2 hearts next to your name and they called you because of that mos likely. It'll make his day if you tell him you like him. It'll make the happiest man alive. You have to do it Kenz, I want to see him happy.

"Ok, i'll tell him tomorrow"

Johnny's POV

"Dude, just give it up. You like Mackenzie." Cam says

"Fine. I like her, now can i have my phone back."

"Now you have to tell her."

"I'll do it tomorrow, at school"
