Hayden's POV

I asked Lauren out, but nobody knows yet. We've been "dating" for like a week and I kind of feel bad for hiding it from like all my best friends. Especially Johnny. Johnny is like my best friend now being he's so nice and funny, unlike some of the other people that i had become friends with at this school. Now i'm dating my best friend's twin sister and it's so awkward around both of them at the same time.

Now i'm supposed to be at school, but of course our bus is late. We take the same bus as Mackenzie and Maddie and there's a rumor going around the Maddie is going to break up with Jacob today. I don't think they are ever going to break up, most likely just a rumor. There has been so many rumors that they're going to break up. Hopefully this time it's true because Jacob has changed Maddie so much.

Maddie's POV

I'm going to try and break up with Jacob today. I don't know if I have the power to do that though. I dont know if i have enough strength to put myself through that. I've dated him for so long and breaking up with him is like losing a part of me. I would be doing that anyway. I'm destroying the horrible side that he has caused. Kenzie told me just to sit with her on the bus and not him so it's not weird on the bus.

The bus is here now and this feeling comes over me. I don't know what to call it. I walk on the bus with Kenzie and sit next to her.

Jacob walks on the bus and sees me talking with Kenzie and her friends, "C'mon Maddie," he says Gesturing me to walk with him. "I'll save you from these losers."

"Don't call them losers! And maybe i don't want to sit with you today so just go."

Johnny's Pov

I walk on the bus and see Maddie sitting next to Mackenzie. Jacob is standing next to her and she says "Don't call them losers, And maybe I don't want to sit with you today so just go." Maddie always sits with Jacob and I have no idea why they are fighting.

Jacob is still standing there and i walk up so i can let other kids get on the bus, "You're blocking the walkway." I say and squeeze by him.

"Whatever, hang out with you're loser friends. I have better people to sit with." He walks to the back of the bus and sits next to Jordyn, Maddie's best (actually mean) friend. I knew what he was doing. he is trying to get Maddie jealous. He says he doesn't care, but he does.

I lean over the seat and say "Seriously what a jerk."

"I know. I don't know how I ever though he was a good guy."

"You were caught up in the looks and the smooches." Mackenzie says making a kissing face.

Maddie slaps her arm, "Kenz!"

"What? it's true."

They both laugh and I start talking to Hayden when I realize that he's sitting with my sister a few seats up.

I lean forward again, "Hey! Do you know what's going on with Laur and Hayden?"

Maddie looks back at me, "It's obvious that they're dating."

"What? How?"

"1, they hang out all the time. 2, They are always super awkward when they both are around you. 3, just look at them."

"How do you see these things?"

"I look around a lot at school. I'm an observer."

"Ok? But why wouldn't they tell me?"

"Mackenzie, did Lauren tell you about her dating Hayden?"

"Maybe?" She responds.

"Hey, why wouldn't you tell me?"

"It's your sister's thing, not mine."

"It's common for friends to tell their friends this stuff, but when It's their friend's brother or sister, things get weird." Maddie explains. I guess it makes sense. I just would have to ask them if they actually are dating or if they're just friends hanging out. Not all Maddie's reason are logical.
