Mackenzie's sister and her friends are showing us to our class. Mackenzie's friend Hayden showed up and he's super cute. We walked all the way to the other side of the school where room 37 was. That was our homeroom and Math class. All of Mackenzie's friends are in the same class as us so we walked as one huge group. We got to the class and Maddie and her friends left. We walked inside and the board said to sit wherever you want so we all sat in one corner of the room taking up those seats.
Mackenzie POV
The bell rang and the kids that were standing up quickly got into their seats. Our teacher walked to the front of the class.
"Hello everyone. My name is Mrs. Surpala and i'm your homeroom and Math teacher. So after the announcements i'll get you all into your assigned seats." I hate assigned seats. I always get put away from my friends and it sucks. Hopefully this year it's different.
"Hello Students and Welcome to the first day of the school year. This is your principal Mr. Lachten and here are your morning announcements. Do you like to run? Join our cross country team and compete against other schools in our district. The first meeting is on August 29 after school. Meet in the gym at 3:15. Is there anyone out there that likes to dance. Dance team tryouts are next monday after school. Do you want to cheer for your team and show your school spirit. Do you like doing stunts and cheers. Cheerleading tryouts are on Tuesday next week. Drama club meets at lunch on Wednesday and Fridays if you want to participate in school plays or musicals.
That's all for your announcements. Have a good day."
