She closed her eyes as she leans in close for the kiss she always wanted to give. It was what her mind, body, and soul wanted her to do too and so, you can't really reject an order like that, right?
The boy, who was facing her just stood, stared, and maybe just a little bit flinched as he appeared to veto against the attempt for intimacy. Subtly yet clearly, he rejected her with his facial expression, as it changes to a hopeless frown.
"..but why?"
"I'm really sorry I really am, but there's this someone I'm waiting for, someone special to me. I don't know if she's waiting for me back, but I know that I am."
