Jason's pov

I can't believe that just happened. What's Ruth-Anne gonna say when she finds out. I tell her that and she says, "If she finds out." I sigh and stare at the ceiling. "I can't believe that just happened." She sits up and puts her shirt back on. "Are you alright?" She asks. "I don't know. I feel kinda guilty." She sighs. "If it makes you feel any better.... This wasn't the first time I've cheated on Ruth-Anne. I just..... After some time.... I've missed a guy's touch." This is not right. "You shouldn't keep doing that to Ruth-Anne." I say, sitting up. She looks about in tears. "You're the first guy to know I'm bi and you still wanted to sleep with me." I shouldn't have. "I..... Can we pretend this never happened?" I look up at her. A tear rolls down her cheek. "Of course Alex and no one will hear anything from me." She wiped her eyes and pulled on her jeans. "You're a good man, Jason." Then she walks out. I put my head in my hands. "A good man, I just slept with a married woman!" I shakily stand up. "Maybe Alex is right. I should just forget I have a daughter and leave them alone." Just then my phone buzzes. I walk back to my bed and pull my phone out of my jeans pocket. A text. From my daughter.

M: Hey daddy, can you come over?

J: Why?

M: Cause I wanna see you.

I sigh and stare at the ceiling. I can't just forget. I love having a daughter. Even if I have issues with one of her mothers. And she loves me. For some reason.

J: I gotta jump in the shower then I'll be over. About twenty minutes.

M: Yay! Love you dad.

I smile at the text, imagining that happy sweet kid.

J: I love you too, princess.

I get in the shower, exhausted, and contemplating how to tackle this situation. "I just don't know what to do." Cause as much as I hate it, that girl got under my skin. I want her. Bad.

Miranda's pov

I'm nervous and excited. My first daddy daughter dance I was able to attend. Since I now have a daddy. Mama Alex got home from a business trip and hugged me. "Hey sweety, what's new?" "Daddy's coming over." Her eyes go wide. "He is? Why?" I hand her the flyer for the dance. "Will he wanna take me?" I ask worriedly. "Of course sweety. I bet when you tell him he's gonna be so happy." I'm giddy with excitement. A few minutes later, I hear his truck. I run out to meet him.

Jason's pov

I smile when Miranda runs over. I hug her tight. "What's up, princess?" We go inside and she hands me a piece of paper. My eyes go wide. A daddy daughter dance. "Wow...... You... You want me to take you to a dance?" "Of course you're my dad!" I'm so glad to be. "That I am, sweetheart. I gotta warn you I'm an awful dancer." She laughs. "Who cares? We're gonna dominate the dance floor!" I smile and pat her head. Just then Alex walks out of the bedroom. "Oh.... Hey." She waves. Man this is so weird. All I wanna do is kiss her! "Hey sweetheart. Got any dresses?" "I've got a couple. I'll go look." "If anything we can buy a new one." Alex says quickly as she runs upstairs. "Alex.... I...." Hm.. I can't figure out how to say this. Instead I cross the room and pull her into a passionate kiss. A muffled gasp can be heard then she kissed me back. When we break the kiss, I can't catch my breath. "I'm so sorry." She whispers. "For what?" I ask confused. "For dragging you into this." "Mom.... What's going on?" I spin around. Instantly releasing Alex. My heart hammering in my chest. "Oh gosh, Miranda don't tell mom Ruth-Anne what you saw!" Alex cries, panicked. "Mama.... W-What..... What just happened?" Me and Alex look at each other. "Nothin' just forget you saw anything. Can you keep a secret?" I shakily ask. "I.... You..." She runs out the front door. "Shit!" I gasp. We run out after her. "What do we do?" She whimpers. "I thought you hated him but now you're kissing him behind mom's back! What about her?!" She sat on the ground by my truck, crying. "It isn't what it looks like." She says. "Oh yeah? You weren't just kissing dad. Even though you're married to mom! This is gonna kill her!" She yells. "We're not gonna tell her. It was a mistake!" Alex yelps, shaking with fear. "OK let's just forget this even happened." I say, walking over. She stands up, fists clenched. "No. I'd rather forget about you! Just go away!! I hate you!" She yells, completely catching me off guard. "B-But.... W-What about the dance?" "No. Go away! I hate you!" She yells again, walking inside and slamming the door. She hates me..... My daughter hates me.
