Chapter 8 - I Want To Tell Him, But How?

"Wow. Your dorm is clean."

"Julie's fault. She's a neat freak." We laughed.

"So which is yours?"

"This one, here." she pointed to the door on our left. "I have a roommate, though." she said. 

"What's her name?"

"Amber."

"Pretty."

"Yeah. She's nice enough, and gone a lot."

"Cool. I actually wanted to tell you something."

"Yeah, sure." I looked at my feet. "I-I kinda..."

"Okay. I'm going to tell you what you told me. Spit it out."

"I like Thomas!" I said quickly.

"I KNEW IT! JULIE OWES ME FIVE BUCKS!" She shouted. I'm guessing that the girl that poked her head in and said, "I lost? Which bet?" was Julie.

"She likes Thomas." she said.

"Thanks for telling the whole world, Mia."

"No, Julie's like a sister to me."

"Thomas... Thomas... Oh! The hot guy you were telling me about that's roommates with Madalyn?"

"Hi, Madalyn here." I said, waving my hand.

"Oh, hi. I'm Julie."Julie handed Mia five dollars, and slipped out of the room.

"Look, I just don't know how to tell him. Help, please." I said. Mia thought about what I had said.

"Just tell him."

"I don't want to ruin our friendship. I have a better idea. Walk up to him when I go in the bathroom, or something like that, when I'm not around, and ask him for me."

"Fine. I'll do it tomorrow. At lunch. Invite me along with you and Thomas or something."

"Okay." I looked at my phone. It was almost 11:00pm. "I'm going to go. Meet me at starbucks at noon and we'll go to lunch."

"Kay, sounds good.

Author's Note: Sorry for such a short chapter!! It's just a filler... I know where I want this book to go, but I don't know how many chapters it will take. I'm estimating I'll reach 20 - 25 chapters...
