Chapter Twenty-Three

***

LUKE POV

**3pm, May 17th**

"Is she hot?" Shorty asks me.

"Who said I was even dating anyone?" I ask back.

"Well if you were single you'd tell us. You won't say it because you'll hurt the feelings of whoever you're dating." Shorty says.

"I've hurt their feelings plenty lately, it wouldn't do too much." I say.

"So they do exist." Shorty says.

"Someone exists, yeah." I say.

"Again, is she hot?" Shorty asks.

"Very. They are with me and the tour forever." I say.

"Or until you break up." Shorty says.

"They'd still be there, it's their job." I say.

"Dating a coworker? Damn Luke, I didn't expect that from you." Shorty says.

"If you didn't expect that then what goes down tomorrow is gonna blow your mind." I say.

"Is that when you tell us?" She asks.

"Yup." I say.

"You're almost as cool as Ashton. I still don't get the asshole act." Shorty says.

"No one gets it. Especially Michael. Which is why he keeps snapping at me a lot even though he knows now." I say.

"You mean the other three didn't know?" Shorty asks.

"Nope. Michael broke Ashton's arm while trying to hit me with a guitar." I say.

"I thought Ashton fell off the stage." She says.

"Ashton is dumb sometimes, but not that dumb." I say.

"So was picking on Ashton part of the act too?" She asks me.

"Yup." I say.

"Why didn't he ever kick your ass?" She asks.

"Because he knew it was an act." I say.

"I thought he didn't know." She says.

"He was the only person that did." I say.

"Which is why you pretended to hate him." She says."

"Yeah." I say.

"Why did Ash know?" She asks me.

"It's a long story from a long time ago. You'll probably hear about it tomorrow. I'm covering the act as well." I say.

"Was I asking the wrong question?" She asks me.

"What?" I ask.

"I asked if she was hot, the girl you're dating. Is it even a girl?" She asks me.

"If you think I'm gonna tell you who I'm dating then you're wrong." I say.

"Well why can't you tell me?" She asks me.

"Because believe it or not I'm the one that's scared to tell. I can't really handle judgement too well." I say.

"What's your sexuality at least?" She asks me.

"If I don't tell you you're just gonna assume it." I say.

"Exactly, so you should tell me." She says. I shake my head. Little does she realize, but this girl is giving me massive anxiety. I don't know where Ash went either. I can't have an anxiety attack in public.
