MILLIES POV
👽👽👽
School has been back in session for a few months now. It's going pretty good with Finn showing me the ropes, and I've made a friend or two, but none can compare to Finny Boi. Recently, there's been flyers for the annual school dance (they call it a 'Snowball'). Me and Finn aren't official or anything, but I think he's going to ask me to be his date...I really hope he does..

I'm walking to my locker when someone wraps their arm around mine and intertwines our fingers. I glance up and a huge grin spreads across my face. "Finny Boi!" I exclaim giving him a hug. "How was school today Mills?" "Better now," I giggle, "how about you?" "Pretty good," he smiles. Suddenly, he grabs my shoulders and stands directly in front of me, looking squarely into my eyes. "Millie, I have something really important..well at least to me, to ask you.." I nod. Is he going to ask me to the dance? Oh there go the butterflies. "Ok, will you go to the Snowball with me?" He sighs with exasperation and waits eagerly for my answer. I squeal, "yes!! I'd love to!" I lean over and plant a kiss on his cheek, causing the onlooking crowd to cheer. We're both blushing when we walk out of school, hand in hand.

After said goodbye to Millie on the sidewalk, I've had a big goofy smile plastered on my face. My parents don't give me any grief but Nick is a whole other story. "Woah, Finnster, did you and Millie kiss or something? Your face is as red as a tomato!" He laughs. I roll my eyes. "No, Nick. But if you really need to know I asked Millie to the Snowball and she said yes," He claps slowly, "wow, my little brother asked his first girl out. Noice." I ignore him and head towards my room, stuck in a Millie filled daze.

Ever since I told my mom I asked Millie to the dance yesterday, she crowned herself the queen of preparations. She's been driving me store to store for various items that I don't see any necessity for. Like a corsage, I told her it's not that kind of dance but she bought one anyway. She also forced me to try on every suit in JCPenny. I don't really mind as long as everything turns out perfect for Millie.

(Dance is tomorrow)
I'm really looking forward to the snowball, I found a lovely baby blue lace dress to wear. My mother's also allowing me to wear a small amount of make up, I'm not that type of girl, but as long as Finn likes it everything will be ok.

Finn and I decided we would meet up at the dance, so my mom drives me to the school. "You nervous honey?" She says, casting a glance my way. "Nah...well...maybe, me and Finn are best friends, but this is different." She nods as she pulls into a parking spot. "Have fun sweetie, be safe!" "I will!" I call over my shoulder as I head to the school and wave goodbye. Ok Millie, this is Finn. We're best pals, breeeeeathe. I take a deep breath as I step into the crowded auditorium. The Chainsmokers is blaring out of the speakers and strobe lights are flashing everywhere. Even though it's a full room, it only takes a second for my eyes to find Finn. He looks so handsome! Woah Millie, calm down, he's just a friend...right? A moment later he catches my eye and a huge smile creeps up his face. He slowly makes his way towards me through the sea of people. "Mills!" He exclaims when he reaches me, "you look pretty," he blushes like crazy, "I..I meant good. Pretty good," he says sheepishly. I wink at him. "You look pretty good yourself Finny Boi." He grins shyly at me and takes my hand. "So, what would you like to do?" "How about we get something to eat?" After piling our plates full of refreshments, we sit down at a small table, making small talk between bites. Before I know it the DJ is announcing that it's the last song..the slow song. 'I Can't Help Falling In Love' starts playing when I catch Finns stare.

"Um, would you like to dance Millie?" I ask softly. She blushes and nods as I take her hand and lead her to the dance floor. She timidly wraps her arms around my neck as I place my hands carefully on her hips. We sway slowly for a minute before she speaks up. "Finn..." "yeah?" I mumble quietly. "I really like you," "aw, I like you too Millie, you're a great friend," she groans slightly at the last part. "Not like a friend...more like a... Like a.." She stutters before lightly placing her lips on mine. After a few moments I pull back and flash her a grin. "Ohhhh like that," I say while wiggling my eyebrows, causing her to giggle. "I like you like that too," I can feel my cheeks grow hot. Millie blushes and looks away. Right before the song ends I give her a little peck before grasping her hand and walking back to our table. For the rest of the time that we spend at the Snowball, me and Millie just stare at each other in a comfortable silence. She's so pretty... I'm glad she said yes to being my date....
