He was the biggest grizzly I had ever seen. And only a few meters away from me. He hadn't sensed me yet and was busily eating some berries. I was so shocked I could barely move. I shifted a little to the left.

He grumbled and sniffed, then turned his head back to the ground attending to the berries. With relief, I sighed heavily.

Instantly I realized I'd made a big mistake! The bear growled angrily and turned around. For a moment my heart stopped and I gasped. I stumbled a step back and felt a huge rock in my back. I turned my head looking for a way to escape.

On my left was a pile of stones, on my right a chasm and behind me a wall of stone. My heart was pounding as if it would burst and my breath was going heavily. He sniffed and licked his blotted snout. He slowly began to move towards me.

This was getting way to serious. He trotted closer and closer. I closed my eyes . I could feel his stomps shaking the ground. The stomps broke off. I sensed his hot smelly breath on my face which was now only a few inches away from his deadly fangs. Just as I thought my life was over the bear cringed and moved a step back. He roared in rage turning his head to his flank. A long wooden arrow stuck in his side.

"Let her go you beast! She's not your prey!" someone yelled. An almost melon sized rock hit him and he stumbled. The next arrow pierced his left ear. He howled, turned around, and then disappeared to the woods. I sighed and sank down to the ground.

A group of boys appeared by the rocks.

"You OK?" asked the tallest one.

"... I... I'm fine...!" I replied.

"Are you sure?" he said kneeling down in front of me. I nodded.
"Can you stand?" he said reaching out his hand. I tried to stand while holding his hand but my legs where shacking so much I dropped back down.He picked me up and said:

"It's all right now, calm down!" I nodded again.
"Come with us, you don't seem to cope very well alone out here." I was too exhausted to say or ask anything. I felt warm and secure in his arms. Everything got blurry and my eyelids where getting heavy. I felt so tired...

"She fell asleep!?" Ren noticed. "What are you going to do now, Yuma"?

"We take her to our shelter of course! Now let's go."
