I was shaken awake. "Let me sleep," I whined.
"It's time dear," Demetri said quietly, moving my hair out of my face.
I groaned slightly and opened my eyes.
"Come on, We have five minutes to get down there," He sighed.
"Do we have to," I whined.
"Unfortunately, we do,"he said with a sigh helping me stand up.
I sighed and leaned on him sleepily. "Let me brush my hair first," I said to him.
He nodded and grabbed me a hair brush. Quickly I brushed through my hair and placed the brush down on the couch. "Can you hand me my slippers," I asked pointing over to the other side of the room.
He smiled and within a blink of an eye they were by my feet.
"You know, I still don't like you doing that," I told him.
He chuckled. "Get used to it."
I rolled my eyes and slid my feet into the fuzzy slippers. "There." I said and looked down and sighed not able to see my toes. "How do I look?"
"Fantastic, don't worry about it," he replied and gave me a small peck on the lips before he wrapped a single arm around me and guided me out the door. Alec was waiting outside the door.
"You look great," he said jokingly.
Demetri threw him a glare.
I sighed not even bothering to respond to his comment. "I'm tired," I said lowly changing the subject, slowly walking forward.
"All you do is sleep," Alec said rolling his eyes.
"Dude, you try being pregnant," I protested.
He chuckled.
"It ain't easy," I claimed.
He just laughed and we made our way to the Throne Room just as we did what it seemed like a few weeks earlier.
"How long have I been pregnant for?" I asked thinking.
"Eight weeks,"Demetri answered.
"When will these," I grunted, "Children... be out of me?" I winced, leaning on Demetri, using his body as full support.
He sighed. "Very... very... soon."
I nodded and stopped walking for a few moments taking a few deep breaths. Continuing after a few minutes.
"Sorry we are late.... to my own Baby Shower...." I sighed looking realizing we only got to the Elevator.
"Take your time," Alec said worried.
"Do you want me to carry you down?" Demetri said curiously.
I shook my head.
It was a long silence in the elevators. 'Just a few more steps and then you can sit on your ass for the rest of the night.' I thought to my self.
I took a deep breath as the babies moved around.
Five minutes late we made it. Slowly I wobbled in, people staring.
Aro quickly walked over to us.
"Sorry... I cant walk as fast as I used too," I looked down with a sigh. "Can I sit," I whispered feeling everyone's eyes on me.
Aro guided me, much faster than I would like, to sit by Carlisle.
"You look..." He hesitated to answer with Aro sitting next to me.
"Like shit... I know," I whispered and gently leaned on him, hoping he wouldn't mind.
He looked concerned.
"She looked better earlier," Emmett admitted.
I just nodded sighing.
"I feel weak," I sighed and closed my eyes.
"Demerti, have you been doing what I recommended?" Carlisle said concerned.
"Yes... she isn't having just one child... Izzy is having twins," Demetri sighed.
"I'm fine," I said. "I'm just weak," I answered.
Carlisle sighed and placed his hand on my face.
I took deep slow breaths.
"Can someone get me something to drink."
Demetri nodded and left and came back with blood.
I sighed. "I meant water," I responded with a glare.
"After you drink that," he said.
"Fine," I grumbled and sipped it, wrinkling my nose finally finishing it.
Demetri then handed me a glass of water.
"Thank you," I said and quickly drank it.
"I don't have to move right?" I said looking around the room seeing the vampires looking at me.
"No," Demetri said. "You can sit right here," he said and sat down next to me.
I sighed and smiled slightly, looking around the room.
"I hate how everyone is staring," I said glaring around the room.
"They are just shocked," Carlisle answered.
I shook my head. "Hey... um... I... gotta go pee. I'll be right back," I said and sighed hating this whole pregnancy thing.
Carlisle helped me stand. "Escort me to the Elevator... I can handle it from there," I asked Carlisle.
Carlisle looked at Demetri for a response. He nodded. "Of course Izzy," he smiled charmingly and placed his arm around my waist.
I relaxed a little when everyone wasn't looking at me. "Thank you," I said when we were out of the room.
He smiled.
"It was too overwhelming for me in there," I said quietly.
"I bet it is," he paused and looked down. "Are you sure you can make it all the way up?" He said.
I nodded. "Carlisle? Will these babies kill me?" I said lowly.
He looked shocked at my question.
"Please answer me," I whispered, the fear in my voice.
"I don't know dear," he said with a sigh placing his hand on my cheek.
"I'm growing weaker and weaker. I'm scared I'm going to die," a tear slid down my cheek.
"Hey hey... Don't cry. You're one hell of a fighter. You aren't going to die. I won't let you die. I promise," he said and wiped my tear with his thumb.
I nodded and the elevator doors opened. "I... I'm fine by myself. I'll be back soon. I just need a few minutes to cool off," I whispered and hugged him gently then stepped onto the elevator and pressed the 'close door' button and then Carlisle disappeared.
Tears just pooled up in my eyes. "Stop crying. You aren't going to die. You're going to live. You will be just fine," I said to myself.
I took a few deep breaths and snapped out of it and stepped off the elevator and started heading to my room.
I walked into my room and went into the bathroom to go pee.
I heard footsteps, which sent my heart racing. "DEMETRI!!!" I yelled out.
No reply.
I pulled up my leggings and went out.
All of a sudden someone attacked me
