Grace's POV///
It was raining. I was cold, wet, and heartbroken. Parker is right I should tell Quincey my feelings before it's too late. But the thing is that it is too late. He's in love with her and vice versa. I can't ruin his happiness. My pathetic heart would break at any moment, I mean I'm crying because I fell in love with my best friend and the feelings aren't requited. He proposed to her a month ago, and he just told me. I let the salty tears fall to the wet cement as I walked along the sidewalk in the pouring rain. The weather is matching my mood just perfectly. I lost him. For good this time. In a few months that witch of a fiancé of his will have a ring on her bony little finger. She'll get to cuddle with him when it's cold. She'll get to make him happy when he's sad. She'll get to make him laugh that brilliant laugh of his. But the sad thing is, that was my job. I haven't cuddled with him in months and he's been ignoring me and I miss the delightful ring of his laughter filling my ears and my body with warmth. I'm tired off this one-sided love.-------
I told Grace about the engagement and she ran out. I thought she would be happy for me, I mean I've been dating Casey for two years now. I'm in love with Casey. I know Grace has feelings or me, I mean I practically grew up with her. She's like a little sister to me, nothing more. I feel bad that she has to go through that. I feel phone start vibrate and I take my phone out and notice the caller ID.
"Hey Case." I say smiling, even though I know she can't see my face.
"Hey Quince, I have a question." I smile at the nickname she's given me.
"Shoot." I say putting the phone in the crook of my neck so I could support it with my shoulder and neck. I grab my trash and threw it away. I'm hit with a sudden gust of cold air.
"I was wondering if we could go out tonight to celebrate."
I call a taxi and get in and buckle up.
"Sounds like a plan."
