I was the first to go into the bus so I sat in the very back. As soon as I sat down, I pulled out my journal and began writing in it. "Do you write often?" A voice said which made me jump. I looked and sitting in front of me was Eugene. I must've been so into my writing I blocked the noise from the world. "Y-Yeah. I do. It's so I could look back on it whenever this is all over. If does end anyway." I explained to Eugene. "I've never wrote." Eugene told me. "Well you should really give it a try. You can write down all of your feelings and no one would ever have to look at it." I informed Eugene. "Really?" Eugene asked. "Yes. I'll tell you what, if I find a brand new notebook anywhere, I'll be sure to hand it to you." I told him. "Oh why thank you, A-Ashley." Eugene told me. Eugene must be a nervous type of fellow. Abraham then started the bus and we began moving forth. I slipped my notebook back into my bag. Tara had then walked back here and sat in the seat to the right of me. "You two getting along?" Tara asked. "Yes. A lot actually." Eugene answered before I could even open my mouth. He probably can tell what I'm thinking. "Good. So Ashley?" Tara called to me. I turned to her. "What are your interests?" Tara asked. "Well, before the world went to shit, I was an author and gamer. I usually wrote fictional books and played RPG games." I explained to the two of them. "What genre of games did you play?" Eugene asked me. "Uh horror and adventure." I told him. "Really? Cool." Eugene told me. "Hey Abraham how-" Bang! "Bitch nuts!" Abraham suddenly exclaimed. The engine blew. The bus started spiraling out of control until we eventually flipped and landed on the side. My head hit the floor and I groaned in pain. "Eugene!" Abraham exclaimed. "Eugene, are you okay?" Rosita yelled. "The preacher..didn't see another way out." Eugene mumbled. The hell is he talking about? "You hold on, okay?" Abraham called to him. "Everyone else? You okay?" Abraham called to us. "Yes." I said. "Yeah." Glenn said. "The engine's on fire we got to get out." Tara called out. "I know." Abraham said. Glenn looked outside the bus. "All right you and I go first, knock 'em back, clear the way for Maggie and Rosita to get out, then we all start hitting them okay?" Glenn announced. "Yeah. We'll do it live." Abraham said. "Tara? Ashley?" Abraham called to us. "Yeah?" Tara and I said in unison. "You two cover Eugene, come out when it is clear." Abraham commanded us. "Okay." Tara said. "Alright." I said as well. "On my go!" Abraham yelled. "Go!" He shouted. Abraham kicked the back doors of the bus open. Him, Glenn, Rosita, and Maggie climbed out and began killing the walkers. I pulled Eugene to his feet. "You good?" I asked him. "I-I think so." Eugene stuttered. Tara ran up to where the others exited. As Eugene and I began walking forth, a walker bursted through the window right next to us but Tara killed it. "Come on! I know it sucks and it's scary, but it's time to be brave." Tara told Eugene. I could tell Eugene was terrified. "I-It isn't voluntary." Eugene stuttered. "It is when you're screwed either way!" I exclaimed through the noise from the walkers, "So you cut through the choice that might help somebody." "Yeah listen to your smart twin!" Tara exclaimed as she handed Eugene a knife. "Come on." Tara told us. As I began walking out, with me being last, I noticed the first aid kit sticking out from under a seat. I quickly grabbed it and slipped it into my bag. I then jumped out of the bus. Everyone else was killing walkers when Eugene was trying to kill a walker so I went up from behind the walker and killed it. "Th-Thank you." Eugene thanked me. "Don't mention it." I told him. Suddenly my hair was pulled. I turned and it was a walker that snuck up on me. Shaking around wasn't helping the case. Eugene came up from behind and stabbed the walker. But I had to kill it since he didn't aim for the brain. "And thanks to you." I told him. "A-Anytime." Eugene stuttered. Abraham had then killed the last walker. "Whew!" Abraham sighed. "Check Eugene, see if he's hurt." Abraham called out. "I'm fine. Just cuts and dings is all." Eugene said. "Check him!" Abraham yelled as he pointed to me. I began looking over Eugene's arms, hands, legs, and even his neck just in case. "Is that your blood?" Eugene asked as he pointed to Abraham's hand. Abraham's left hand was opened up and bleeding. "Yeah. Damn thing opened again." Abraham said. "I swear, the cuts are finer than frog's hair. They're just big bleeders." He added. "He's good." I said. "Good." Glenn said. "First aid kit's in the bus. I'll see what we have." Maggie announced as she began walking to the bus. But the flames shot up and filled the bus. "Damn!" Rosita exclaimed. "You mean, this first aid kit?" I asked as I held the kit in the air. Everyone looked at me in shock. "I like this girl now." Abraham said which made me chuckle. "Rosita you can do me later, but we're not stopping. We're rolling on." Abraham announced as I slipped the kit back into my bag. "We'll find another vehicle down the road. The mission hasn't changed." He added. "Devil's advocate, nothing more we smashed to a stop hard. We spent a lot of time rolling things out of the road. The church is just 15 miles back that way-" "No." Abraham sternly said, interrupting Eugene. "We don't stop. We don't go back. We're at war, and retreat means we lose. The road fights back, the plan gets jacked. You all know that!" Abraham exclaimed. He gave Eugene a stony stare. Remind me to not get on his bad side. "Now, we will get through this because we have to. Every direction is a question. We don't go back!" Abraham yelled. Abraham began walking away but Glenn got in front of him saying:"Hey, hey, hey you okay?" "I am fit as a damn fiddle." Abraham snapped at Glenn. "We are going with you. You are calling this thing. I just need to know if you're good." Glenn explained to Abraham. "This is how things stop. I can't afford that right now. The world can't afford it." Abraham told Glenn. I knew he was referencing Eugene on that last line. "Listen, I took a pretty hard shot to the sack with that crash. I am stressed and depressed to see that ride die, but if you say we're rolling on, I'm good." Abraham told Glenn. Glenn looked around at all of us and to his feet. He looked up at Abraham. "We're rolling on." Glenn said. Abraham did a little nod. "I'm gonna rub some dirt on it and walk it off." Abraham announced as he was referring to his hand wound. "Yeah." Glenn agreed. "We'll find what we need like we always have, on the way." Rosita said. "Okay." Maggie said. "Alright." I agreed. "I'm not rubbing dirt on anything." Maggie added. We all chuckled. "Maybe we can find some bikes. Bikes don't burn." Tara announced. "True." I agreed with Tara. "All right." Abraham said. "Yeah." Glenn added. Everyone began walking ahead. I was about to when Eugene went over to the dead bodies of walkers. But to a specific spot. It was the spot where Eugene and I fought walkers. Eugene had then bend down to a walker. I walked forth to get a closer look. It was the walker that grabbed my hair. "Eugene what are you doing?" Rosita suddenly exclaimed. Looks like she didn't fully leave. "Nothing." Eugene said before he spat at the walker. "Then let's go." Rosita said in annoyance. I gave her a dirty look. Luckily she didn't see. Eugene then got up and I began walking right next to him with Rosita catching up to the others who weren't that far away.
