Chapter 4

Katniss

I feel nothing. Blankness is all I see. A world of black. I try to open my eyes to view the little world I call home but I can't. I am shut out. I hear voices but they can't form words, atleast in my head. I wish I knew if they were talking about me. Or maybe if I knew where I was. I am lost like I was. But this time my eyes aren't open and I am lost.

Am I dead?

Maybe this is all a dream, something little kids run to their mom's for at night for protection. Who know's. Well for certain I have no clue.

I really miss Peeta's welcoming arms. Where is he?

"Please,"

Who is that? They sound familiar. Raspy voice, kind of deep. Ah, None other than Haymitch.

But why is he here, he's NEVER sober. Also, why is he saying please? It's sucks being confused, I never even knew how much of a struggle this is.

"Please, don't turn off the girl's oxygen, and get him," He pauses, "Out!"

"Haymitch, hey I am just trying to help my Catnip."

Gale, I don't know what to think of him anymore. He might have not purposely killed my sister but it still was his bomb.

"Psh," Haymitch says, "Your Catnip, you never loved her, or ever believed in her choices."

"But I love her."

"I don't care," Haymitch fires back, "Someone how actually cared about her will be here."

"You mean that damn baker?"

"He is more than that!" "If you were there for Katniss you'd know that!"

I hate listening to his, but there is so much weight on my body I can't push myself up.

"He's a killer," Gale says, "He tried to kill her, you call that love? Is that love to you, then what is hate?"

This breaks my heart, and Gale will hear it from me when I recover. If I return to reality.

"Look," Haymitch begins, I just heard someone being pulled against the wall so I can just assume that Gale is going to get it from Haymitch, "He was hijacked! Not his fault!"

Haymitch, I just know threw Gale to ground and stormed out.

"Katniss," He whispers, "If you ever wake know that Peeta is a jerk, I am right for you."

He does the unthinkable,

I feel his cold rough lips on mine, obviously unable to kiss back, I am glad I can't move for once.
