No one's POV

Ciel opened the door to Alois' room, being unsurprised to see the blonde awake, reading.
"Good morning Lord Trancy," Ciel stated expressionlessly, eyeing his blue eyed "master".
"G-good morning," Alois replied tiredly. "I-is there anything I need to do?" He added.
"Actually, I was wondering if you would like to go round town today?" Ciel offered. Alois blinked, surprised, putting his book down.
"I-I don't know if I'm fit for public..." He mumbled in response. Ciel contained his mild irritation.
"Very well, if you do not choose to I cannot force you. Other than that there is nothing that you're required to do," he informed.
Ciel dressed Alois in silence, questioning what his motives to aid the Alois were. At the time he had done it in hopes of seizing his first soul in a dignified manner, and that soul being a relatively good one, setting standards for himself, but now... He felt, differently...
Ciel had briefly considered the possibility that he vaguely cared about the blonde **** but he quickly disposed of that idea, of course he didn't care about Alois, Ciel just thought he might have a good soul... And it would probably frustrate Claude when he realised he couldn't just redo his contract with Alois because Ciel was a demon now and Claude therefore couldn't obtain his own soul... Not anything else. Ciel Phantomhive caring about anybody was ludicrous in it's own right, let alone that somebody being Alois Trancy.

The day was somewhat uneventful, and Alois got bored relatively quickly. "Do wish to take me up in the offer of going round town Lord Trancy?" Ciel asked again. Alois paused, weighing up his options.
"I-I suppose I'm only going to be lounging around all day o-otherwise..." Alois considered.
Ciel felt something pull at his cold, empty heart. He understood why Alois didn't want to be seen, he had a reputation to live up to and maintain.
Just then there was a nock at the door. "Strange, I-I announced I wasn't excepting visitors o-or mail u-unless its urgent..." Alois pondered.
"I'll send them on their way," Ciel resigned, going to answer the door.
Ciel yanked the door open, aggression clear on his features.
"What? Lord Trancy isn't excepting visitors or mail," Ciel growled. The man on the doorstep looked up at him in surprise.
"A-aren't you Ciel Phantomhive?! You're supposed to be dead!" He squeaked. Ciel gave the inturder a death stare that could make grown men cry.
"What is your business here?" Ciel repeated, this man was getting on his nerves.
"I-it's a letter from the her majesty the Queen for Lord Trancy, its urgent!" He exclaimed, holding out the letter at arms length in fear.
"Thank you, I will give this to Lord Trancy," Ciel snapped, closing the door with slightly more force than strictly necessary.
Ciel walked up to Alois. "It's a letter from the Queen Lord Trancy," Ciel stated.
Alois looked over at him, alarmed. "Very well then... Let me see, i-it's not like I can refuse whatever it is..." He replied meekly.

Dear Lord Trancy

There has been a spree of murders of an unusual nature. Various people have been found with knives buried in their vital organs. The victims seem to have no connection to each other, all of varying wealth, age and gender.
I entrust you will be able to solve this case, as you have many others, especially since Ciel Phantomhive hasn't been seen in some while and I simply cannot get ahold of him or his butler.
The names of the victims so far in chronological order are:
Minnie Clements
Issac Lite
Samuel Burress
Sam Potter
Morton Carbey
Ennis Saxon
Abel Fitzgerald
Lee Jack

I do sincerely hope you will be able to put a stop to this.
Your's sincerely
Her majesty Queen Victoria

Alois sat back in his chair, this was the last thing he needed.
"May I?" Ciel requested, indicating towards the letter. Alois sighed,
"G-go ahead..."
Ciel scanned over the letter, his brows furrowing slightly as he read. "I feel we should investigate some of the crime scenes and bodies if you feel up to it," Ciel advised, watching Alois for a reaction.
"Y-you're likely right, w-we might as well go now, p-please call for a carriage to take us to Scotland Yard s-so they can direct us to where we need to go." Ciel nodded, going to organise transport, this was going to be long day...

A/N: Anybody figured it out yet? Probably not, but if you have a keen eye you'll likely of spotted something ( ;
Don't expect this mystery to be nearly as good as any of the ones in the anime, but I'm trying, I'm trying very hard. If you have any suspects leave them in the comments below, and if you spotted my little Easter egg, go ahead, leave that in the comments as well, and if you're looking for it, a little tip. Remember, these are only the names of the victims so far...

Until next time my fellow nerds and otakus!
