Alois' POV

Nothing particularly exciting was occurring, I was writing some letters, trying to get my business back up and running, Ciel was... You know I'm not entirely sure what Ciel was doing...
Regardless, I was just signing a letter when Ciel came in. "Alois?" I looked up, placing my quill down.
"Yes?"
"An old freind of mine is requesting to visit," Ciel replied with something that was halfway between embarrassment and guilt.
"Who is it?" I swear if it's Elizabeth... I'm saying no. I danced with her once, I don't believe I have ever met anyone who talks more than Elizabeth...
"Sebastian..." Ciel mumbled. I thought it was going to be worse.
"I suppose, when?"
"Next week on Monday, two o'clock," Ciel stated.
"Sounds fine."

Now there's nothing about Sebastian I directly object to... It's just that he so often ended up fighting with Claude... Oh well, I suppose I've agreed to it now, and it wouldn't be that bad, right?

I had just got dressed and was heading out my room... Oh my goodness what happened?!
The entire house was... Practically shining.... Various items that had been previously put away were on display, the table cloths were replaced, there was various vases of flowers on appropriate surfaces, and if you looked out the window the garden was perfect. Ciel normally did a good job, but this... This was something else...
I suppose I had noticed Ciel working on the manor a bit more than he usually would, and he had been looking slightly tired recently, despite me expressing my concerns...

Breakfast had been nothing out of the ordinary, and Ciel had disappeared off into the kitchen immediately afterwards, and well... I was curious and worried so I decided to check on him.
"Ciel?" Ciel looked up from where he had been working, a bowl full of mixture sitting on the worktop. "Are you quite all right? You've been exceptionally busy lately..." I asked.
"Of course," Ciel replied, stony faced as usual, though he did look slightly disheveled. I sighed,
"Let me help, I can bake relatively well, if you give me something simple to do-"
"No! It's fine, I'm fine! I'm your butler and this is my job!" Ciel snapped hastily, which alarmed me slightly. He abruptly went back to stirring the mixture in the bowl.
"Ciel..."
"I don't know what you're worried about."
"But-"
"Everything's fine."
"Um, Ciel-
"Alois... I'm not stressed and I'm not tired."
"Ciel-"
"Don't worry, just go and do paperwork or something."
"Ciel! Whatever's in the oven is on fire!" Ciel stopped, his eyes widening, before grabbing the nearest container, filling it partially with water and chucking it all over the contents of the oven.
Breathing heavily Ciel leant back on the worktop as I stood frozen in place.
"Okay... Maybe I'm slightly stressed..." He admitted begrudgingly.
"Shall I make some more scones?" Ciel nodded...

A/N: I'm sorry this was a bit short, I'll try and update the second part soon.
I know this isn't fluff but all the chapters have been so angsty and depressing, so here's a hopefully funny one!Until next time my fellow nerds and otakus, serpent author out!🐉
