It's been about 4 days since you met Tord, and even though you had each other's Skype, you still hadn't video chatted, mostly because of your schedules and timezones. But you thought today would be the day you change that.
      "Hey Tord"
He responded ASAP.
      "hi y/n what's up"
Before you even got the chance to respond, you clicked video call. What could you possibly lose?
He picked up right away.
"Oh, hi y/n! I didn't expect you to call so soon, haha."
Oh god his accent. You couldn't help but blush a little. He was cute, and  his accent was just attractive as all hell. There was no denying it.
"Hey, Tord. Sorry if this is sudden, hah... Anyways, how're you doing?"
"I'm doing..." He hesitated and you saw his eyes look at the floor. "...Alright." He smiled and looked at you through the camera. "And you?"
That was odd. "Heh...I-I'm doing well, thanks!" Why are you so flustered?
"Oh, good. Anyways, eh...I finished the letter and I mailed it late last night. It should be arriving in a couple of days for you. I can DM you his address later."
Oh right, the secret letter thing. You had a few questions about that.
"If it's signed to him with your name & address how will me delivering it make it any different?" You tried not to sound rude.
      Tord paused again. He looked down, and rest his head in his hand. He was thinking. He looked up at the webcam and said;
"Just open the letter when you get it, and knock on his door and give it to him. Don't leave until you know he's reading it."
You thought that sounded creepy, but you nodded. "So... Edd lives near me?"
Tord sat up straight and yawned, then said through his tiredness -
"Oh ya, I was actually surprised to see you live in the same city. You'll have to drive a bit though, so it makes sense you've never heard of him before that friend of yours looked at my page." He leaned back. "What's your friend's name anyway?"
"O-Oh, his name is Ben. We're neighbors and we went to middle school and high school together."
      Tord smirked. "You like him?"
Your face went red. "No! What made you think that?!" You crossed your arms and made a pout face.
"You were stuttering. It seemed talking about this Ben made you blush." He leaned a bit. "You've been blushing since I said hello. How often do you think of him anyway?" He chuckled, leaning back on his chair again.
"Tord!!" You nervously laughed. You were NOT blushing over Ben... That's just weird. He's your best friend. But... Why were you blushing anyway?

You thought about his words. "...blushing since I said hello..."

Oh god.
You canNOT catch feelings for him. He's far away, and just wants the letter to be delivered.
Then... Why did he ask for the skype anyway? He's so friendly -
NO!! Stop it! You'll just get your heart broken all over again... Just like every other person you've "loved".
You sighed thinking about the past.
Tord noticed.
      "What's wrong?"
You looked up at your webcam. "Oh? Um... N-Nothing. I'm fine."
There was a sudden seriousness in Tord's facial expression. "Fine, eh?" He sounded either really concerned or really angry... You couldn't tell.
"I know what it's like to be 'fine', y/n." He used hand motions to do the quotation marks as he emphasized the word "fine". "I know what it's like to feel like a hollow husk of loneliness and depression. I know what 'fine' means. Tell me what's wrong."

You were utterly shocked with Tord's tone and what he was even saying. All you did was a little white lie... Right?

You caved in and told him everything.
Your recent breakup, your past lovers and past friends treating you like an old toy with no respect whatsoever, and that you've almost given up on meeting new people in general. You tell him you think Marle, Ben and Vince are your only friends left... And Ben is the only one who lives here.

"...What about me?"
You sniffed, trying not to cry. "What..?"
"I'm your friend."

You sighed, then smiled in relief.
He's my friend.
