CHAPTER ELEVENAT LEAST ONCE in your life you will experience immense fear, which will then turn into anxiety. And because this is your first time–even if it isn't–you won't understand the rules of it. You're settled stomach will develop knots, knots that don't even have names let alone exist. This uneasiness will consume you and it won't let go until you understand why it's there. Upon touching the fox's fur and seeing my fate I came to realize this fear.
Everything was white and everything was collapsing. But everything was nothing. My mind was in a white room–a white empty room–and yet I could see ruins and feel the fall of a kingdom. Because in an empty room your still left with your brain. This brain of ours never ceases and it never wants to. And when fear settles in, your brain feeds it.
While making my way out of the forest I wasn't conscious of the world around me, how could I? The angel cries surrounded my thoughts and their expressions became imprinted on my sleeve. My body was starting to feel heavy, I was starting to feel fatigued. The fox however was ebullient and I wondered why. Everyone despises the fox so why was it in such a jovial mood.
The end of the forest was 7 feet away and the entrance to RUINS was 14 feet away. In less than 30 minutes I will be facing a whole army of soldiers and after those ten minutes I will be facing those who threw me out. Fear was still coursing through my veins but not for confrontation but for the events that would follow it. However, I had to set all of this aside before I reached RUINS, because fear equals death in war.
5 feet. 2 feet.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU HAVE REACHED THE END OF THE ACHILLEAN FOREST.
At the end of the forest you see this sign as well as a box which you have to enter in order to leave. The forest is a game and the box is your final task. If I pass the test given to me in the box I will be able to keep my companions and walk out of the forest feeling reborn and looking impeccable. The ACHILLEAN forest can't have you leaving it looking defeated, you are a victor after all.
Once at the door the fox kneeled and waited for me to get off. I stood in front of the door–which read: unum–and grabbed the knob. The knob was gold, the rest of the box was white, and it had carved patterns of angels and roses. After inspecting for 3 minutes I turned it and stepped inside. Everything was white.
There was only a table, a chair, and a paper, which was on the table. I moved forward and took a seat on the chair. My hands stayed on my lap, my eyes looked at the paper. On the white paper a single sentence was written.
Pandora is red.
