CHAPTER TWELVE

PANDORA IS RED was written in black ink. The test was about to begin and soon after that I would arrive in RUINS. This test, the Infinitude Test, could go on for an eternity. However, that eternity stays in the white box–time stops once you enter it. Because of this test many are not able to succeed and engulf themselves in a life of wealth and victory.

The Infinitude test has only two outlets. Number one is to walk out the door victorious and number two is to surrender yourself to the game. When I first took the test it took me quite a while to recover from it. Due to it being the last step to take before leaving the forest, it's the most difficult. The test will dissect your entire being and then it will ruin everything you have ever known.

Act I
Heaven, Heaven, Hell

THE PAPER HAD vanished and the game had begun. A persons voice echoed through the room "It fell from the sky and it became dust" it said. "The dust became life and then it became dust", it continued. On the table appeared a black vertical line on the left side it had the word heaven written twice and in the right the word hell.

"Did it come from heaven or hell?"

"Hell" I answered. A second after I answered a knife was inserted into my thigh. And although the knife was in deep it only stung slightly.

"Now Hades tell me are you in heaven or hell?", the voice had spoken again.

"Hell." Another knife was pressed into my thigh and I could feel the blood running down my leg. "Heaven or hell?"

"Hell," and another came. "Heaven or hell?" "Hell." And another. "Heaven or hell?" "Hell," now on my left thigh.

"Heaven or hell?" "Hell." "Heaven or hell?"

"Hell." "Heaven or hell?" "Hell." "Heaven or hell?" "Hell," at this point my legs were shaking and pain was starting to settle. Blood was dripping down from both of my legs and staining the white floor. The next knife hit my chest and then my stomach and then my arms. After the first ten I stopped counting–my head had begun to feel heavy. My eyes were starting to see blurry and all I could make out was the pool of blood on the floor.

I could feel the next knife pointing at my neck before the question even came. Its voice was closer this time, instead of it echoing through the room it spoke directly into my ear. "This is your final opportunity Hades, choose wisely. Heaven or hell?"

"Hell."

It was raining blood.
