Empty. Thats how I feel, absolutely empty. My body felt heavy and limp, but I couldn't move a single muscle, I wasn't sure whether I was breathing or not. Am I dead? No, not dead. I could feel life flowing through me and something else. Power, strength.

I could hear voices, faint but there. They were talking fast and their words blurred together. They weren't the only noise, there were birds outside, someone vacuuming, and.... buzzing? What the hell is that? I slowly pry my eyes open and am greeted by a blinding light. My eyes instantly start watering as they adjust.

A normal light hangs above me, is that where the buzzing is coming from? How the hell can I hearthat? Then I notice other things, I can see the dust floating in the air, the slight moisture dripping from the window across from me. The feeling comes back to my fingers and I can feel the soft touch of velvet as I sweep my hand across the fabric. I roll my head and see I'm lying in a four poster bed with white net curtains blowing lightly in the breeze.

I slowly pull myself up and I feel a pain in the side of my neck. I place my hand on the tender spot and it comes away with blood covering my palm and dripping down my wrist. Instantly I screamed and pushed the covers off. Where the hell is this coming from? Why am I bleeding so much? I feel a light breeze and a cold hand on my arm.

"Shh, you're fine. Just lie back down, it'll heal soon." Who is that? I recognise that voice. My vision has darkened over and all I can see is darkness.

"Why can't I see?!" I shriek, shaking chronically. My head whipped back and forward trying to shake the darkness but it was becoming cloudy and all I wanted to do was sleep. I felt strong hands lightly pushing me back and I crashed as soon as my head fell back on the pillow.

The music flowed through the grand ballroom. There were buzzes of conversation and girls giggling as their partners twirled them on the dance floor. Their dresses flowing out from their bodies and creating a cloud of colour. They looked so graceful. I looked into the mirror and saw a ruby red dress that clung to my body and flowed out from my hips. The material was silky and startling against my pale white skin. My dark hair was pinned up, curls falling down my neck and around my face. My green eyes sparkled and reflected the gold necklace that hung down on my collar bone.

I looked up as a cold hand touched my arm and ran up my shoulder to rest on my neck, The touch sent electricity through my body and a searing heat exploded from where his skin lingered on mine. I raised my eyes to see his in the mirror. Deep green staring into sky blue. A smirk on his flawless face, fangs extending down to his bottom lip.

I awoke, startled as I felt a feathery touch float across my nose. The moonlight lit up the room and the net curtain floated over my skin once again, raising goosebumps. My back ached and my neck still hurt. I glided my fingers over the tender skin and they came away dry. No more blood. I slowly sat up, stretching my back with my arms above my head. The black cotton shorts and crop top I was wearing were not enough for the chill blowing through the big bay window.

I got out of bed, careful not to make any noise and padded across to the window to look out. I was met by a gust of chilling wind as I looked down. I was two stories up. The door creaked open and a warm yellow light spilled through it. I turned quickly and met the eyes of the boy from my dream. I hadn't realised how close he had gotten, but he stood just 2 meters away.

"You're awake, how do you feel?" His husky voice glided over me. His piercing blue eyes quickly scanning my body. I all of a sudden felt exposed and well... naked. Although I wasn't. My cheeks heated as a smirk grew on his face.
