Rebellious teens littered all over the front yard as they made their makeshift bonfire out of homework paper. An old style house was right on top the hill where a crowd started to gather. Music blared, booze was everywhere and teens of all age danced like no tomorrow. It was pure utter chaos.
"This is awesome!" Sam raced over to the beer kegs and started to drown himself in beer. I shook my head and looked at Austin who had the same idea. Clearing my throat I gave him a warning look. Last time Austin got drunk, it ended up with him devouring every last thing I had in my fridge. Even the condiments. I know. Gross.
"Can I drink?" Austin pleads by pushing his lower lip up. I hummed as the three of us walked, Eric mostly taking pictures to upload on social media. "Fine. But after the fifth one you're done. Got it?" I signed. He flashes me a goofy smile making me laugh before hoisting me up in the air. He gives me a peck on the cheek before disappearing off to find Sam.
"Call me when we're leaving?" He signs as he jogs backwards waiting for my reply. I give him a thumbs up and sighed when he left. Eric puts his phone in his pocket and smirks at me.
"You're acting like his mother," Eric chuckled beside me. I frowned and shoved him away, "Shut up!"
"Whatever mom," he mocks a teenage girl voice before jogging over to some guy who called him over. I rolled my eyes and flipped him off before heading over to the house.
I immediately felt claustrophobic the minute I stepped into the house. There were drunken teens grinding on one another, making out, and were just full on acting dumb. With a rueful groan, I weaved through the sea of sweaty people and managed to get into the kitchen.
"You actually came," Hailey grins at the sight of me coming closer to her and her group of friends. They all wore black. Different shades of black, different styles of black- full on black.
"Yeah... can't really miss a party when you're best friends with jocks who like to party," I shrugged. She laughs knowing I meant Austin who quite ironically was more social than I ever will be. And here I am with no reason holding me back from interacting with others.
"Well, you look nice." Hailey waves with a proud nod at my whole outfit. I wore a simple black strapless dress with red converse. The comfy shoes will come in handy later if there's a reason for me to flee or maybe kick some ass.
"Thank you. I'd say you look gorgeous as well," I complemented back. We look at each other and burst into fits of laughter. "Yeah that was weird. Let's not do that again," she said all teary eyed from laughing.
"Agreed," I wave goodbye to the group to look into the fridge and see if I could drink something light. Or just drink soda since I was lame like that.
"Hey guys!" Hailey chirped up. There were multiple footsteps coming into the kitchen. Along with the sound of chains clanking. I froze from grabbing the soda, me still hunched over.
Please don't be the whole gang. Please don't-
"And who's this? What a nice piece of ass." I cringed knowing the voice came from Bill- the well known perv of our class. Laughter erupts from everyone, except from Hailey. Ah shit.
Slowly I stood straight with a bottle of soda in my hand and smiled. "How about you fuck off before I bash this on your head perv?" I said monotone. All the laughter dies down in an instant making me feel great. I intimidated them all.
That's what I thought until I felt knuckles crack and the complete sound of nothingness.
"Emma?" Quinn said through clenched teeth. My eyes connect with his fiery ones. He was beyond pissed. "Oh. Uh, hey Quinn.." I laughed lightly in the end. Knowing my tendency of laughing a little when it's the worst case.
