You know what I've always wondered- why everybody hates school. I know it may seem a dumb question, but honestly why? I mean sure nobody wants to wake up at five in the morning just to sit in a boring class and listen to a crazy teacher talk- however you get to learn and make new friends am I right? Everybody except me I thought.

I kept hitting the pinecones as I walked along the sidewalk- one foot in front of the other, I kept reminding myself. I wish I could just pull out my book and read while walking- but we all know how thats gonna end, me in the hospital with every bone broken if that's even possible. Once I arrived at Toby's school I waited at my usual everyday spot. I sat down pulling my backpack in front of me and quickly unzipped the zipper pulling out my favorite book called 'Finding Home'. I put my finger on my nose pulling my glasses up and soon stuck my face in my book.

" Belle! Belle!" My little brother called, I hugged him before getting all my belongings.

" Hey little man, how was school?Any new friends?" I grabbed his backpack as we started walking home. I held his small hand and intertwined our fingers together.

" Jennie and I are partners for our project!" Jennie and Toby have been talking non-stop to each other- they are so cute together chatting away.

" That's great Toby! Whats the project about?" We crossed the street before he started jumping around still holding my hand.

" Ms.Jones said we have to create our favorite animal, it can't be a printed paper though. Jennie and I are creating a Giraffe!" Wow, I give you credit Ms. Jones- Hopefully I can help oooooh! I want to help!- I love Projects!

"Hey bud, can I help?" He made one of his widest smiles and nods.

" Jennie's coming over today! She gave me her mommy's number!" Fingers crossed he hasn't lost it- he always loses everything, oh believe me.

" Can I have it so I can call her when we get home?" He nods before running off when we came onto our street- He is so hyper, I'm gonna die before I reach eighteen, as you can see I'm not the most active person around.

" Buddy! Wait up!" I dragged my little feet up the hill, one more step....okay two more steps.. and collapse destination. I unlock the front door before walking slowly into the huge Kitchen. Toby sat on one of the counter chairs as I prepared him a snack.

I grabbed the crumbled note and picked up the phone dialing the number.

" Toby! Jennie's here!" I yell when the doorbell rang. Immediately I here running footsteps downstairs.

" Hi! Come on in. ( I open the door for Jennie to come in as I kept talking with her mother. ) How are you?"

" I'm good, gotta take care the rest of my kids back home they're a handful. How's school?"

" Its going great actually! I can take all the kids and watch them for you if you'd like Ms. M"

" No dear, your too nice, are you sure? I really could use the time to relax." I assured her once again.

"You can trust me Ms. M, when you pick them up they'll be out of it, you need the time to relax too. I assure you I can handle your kids."

" I have five others, which makes seven kids you have to watch are you sure?" What am I getting myself into.

" Im positive Miss." She waved at me before taking off to fetch the rest. Did I just refer her kids as dogs? Oh jeez.

Its official- I'm never gonna make it, I'm never gonna become an adult. Watching over seven kids is a hassle. All of them are super active- including Toby. Right now they're outside playing four square, and I'm cooking dinner since it's almost six thirty. While stirring the pot- I'm making spaghetti with meatballs along with mash potatoes broccoli- the phone starts ringing, more as my phone in the living room.

" Hello?" I continued stirring while holding the phone between my ear and shoulder.

" Hi honey, How was school for you and Toby?" Mom. Great timing!

" Great Jennie and all her siblings are over playing with Toby, Ms. Jones assigned a project and Jennie is partnered up with Toby. Mine was the usual, nothing new. How was work?"

" Work has been a handful, I just wanted to let you know I'm working over shift and I won't be home till past midnight." She usually had over shifts, she's one of those kind person who will take other workers shift if they need to leave early.

" Mom, don't work yourself out. I'll take care of Toby so don't worry. I hope the patients aren't cranky ( giggle )."

" Oh believe they are, Francis was so mad I disrupted his favorite show ( giggle ), take care Isabel tell Toby Mommy says hi!" I laugh on the phone before ending the call. I really wish mom didn't stress herself out all the time- it really worries me.

" Belle! Is dinner ready yet?" All the kids scrambled inside.

" Almost, do you mind setting up the table for everyone?" He nodded as I finished up the last stir. I grabbed all the plates, which were at the top so I had to climb on the counter- one of the many disadvantages being only 5 feet tall.

After dinner the kids are all laying on the couch, Tyler,Cindy,Jennie and Toby are sound asleep, Patty and Jamie are watching spongebob, while I finish my homework. Thankfully the doorbell rings waking up Jennie and Toby in the process.

" Hi Miss M! Have a lovely time?" The woman smiled, she doesn't look tired one bit.

" Yes dear, thank you so much!Where are they?" I ushered her forward.

" They're sound asleep..wow, thank you so much dear this is gonna be an easy night for me."

"Any time, just ring me whenever I'm be glad to help." She smiled again before carrying each kid out the door and into her mini-van. I carried Tyler and Cindy as she got the rest as I started buckling them in I couldn't stop noticing how Toby was...how to I put it..more caring than usual.

Somethings up- I think little Toby has his first ever crush!! Whoo hoo! Go Toby!.
