I can't believe I'm doing this.

I kept thinking to myself as I sat down at a table made for two.

He isn't going to show up. You need to get this into your head!

Never go on a date with your best friend, it can cause you very many problems. I heard the bell ring, indicating that someone had entered the small, but welcoming cafe. I looked over to the door, to see him. The one and only,

Liam Payne.

One YearEarlier.

"Stop. You're annoying me!" I complained for the umpteenth time as my friend poked my shoulder.

"Well you won't answer me! You're annoying me more!" I laughed and turned around. Liam smiled at me and shortly after, he gave me his signature smirk. I rolled my eyes playfully at him and grabbed my phone.

"Go away. I wanna be sad, can I not be sad?"

"Oh c'mon Lanie. You've been on your couch for twenty-four hours. We have school tomorrow, why don't you just get up? I'll take you to buy a book or something." I laughed a little at his suggestion.

"Liam. Please, let me die here on my couch."

"Nope, not going to happen sweetie." I just stared at him. "Look, you'll get over Connor... it'll be okay."

"Liam, I have to see him at school tomorrow..." I sighed and sat up. Liam sat next to me and I laid my head on his shoulder.

"And if he does anything I'll be right there for you." I smiled and looked at him.

"Thanks." he kissed my forehead and wrapped his arm around me.

"Anything for you." he smiled down at me. I turned the telly on and some random cartoon was on. We sat and watched stupid films all day. It was pretty much a normal Sunday, if you asked me.

I woke up with a headache. I looked around and saw that it was still dark outside. I turned my phone on and quickly turned down the brightness. 6:48am, well I might as well take a shower and get dressed. I got out of bed and went to my bathroom, I took a shower.

At about 7:09am, I was out of the shower and my teeth were brushed. I went to my closet and picked out an outfit, I was feeling pretty down, so I went with a simple sweater and leggings. I grabbed my favorite pair of Toms and I went to my bathroom to brush and blow dry my hair.

It was the middle of February, Valentines was a couple of days ago, and my boyfriend well, ex-boyfriend, dumped me on the very day. I always promised myself I would never be pathetic if someone were to break my heart, but it was Valentines day... it was pretty harsh. Liam is my best friend, has been since I was 4 and now... I'm 16. I'm turning 17 March 2nd, it isn't that far away and Liam sure reminds me of it.

I finished blow-drying my hair and I began to straighten it. I would curl it, but my hair would be super frizzy. Usually peoples hair get frizzy in warm weather, mine... it blows up in the cold.

At about 7:23 I was done with getting ready and I headed downstairs, I heard my mum talking. I also heard another voice, a familiar male voice and I smiled. I walked into the kitchen and smiled at my mum and Liam.

"Morning beautiful." My mum said and gave me an odd look. Then I realized I didn't have makeup on. "Trying something new?" I rolled my eyes at her.

"I forgot, thanks for reminding me how awful my face looks." she just laughed knowing I was kidding. I didn't have many blemishes, but I was really pale. I got out a lot but I guess I was just one of those vampire kind of people. "I'm going to go make myself more tan, you two can chat it up." I smiled and started to walk back upstairs, but I felt someone hold my arm. I looked back and saw Liam. "Yes?"
