Chapter Nineteen - 19

I woke up and immediately looked at the clock. I rubbed my eyes a few times so that they were clear enough to see through. I saw that it was 6:15. I slowly sat up and looked down to see that I was still in my outfit from the night before, shoes and all.

"Ow." I said and took my shoes off. They had left small lines on my feet. I stood up and felt my head. "Oh, God." I said and felt about a billion tangles on the top of my head. I quickly walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. "Oh my God." I said and rubbed my face. I quickly took my hair down and gently brushed it. After about eighty years of brushing out knots in my hair, it was 6:30. My alarm started going off and I quickly ran to my nightstand to turn it off. I walked to my closet and picked out a pair of skinny jeans and a crop top that said 'DYLAN FARLEY' in all caps. When I was about fourteen, I found a website and made my own merchandise... for myself. Every now and then I would wear one of the shirts so I could laugh. They actually looked really cool, they had roses all over them because I thought it was cooler to decorate them with roses than put my middle name on there.

I went back into the bathroom and started to apply my make up. I decided to go a little more natural than I normally would. I guess I was okay with being a vampire. To match my top, I found a subtle pink lipstick to put on. I quickly straightened my hair and went downstairs.

"You look nice today." My mum said as I walked into the kitchen.

"Thank you." I said and opened our fridge. I grabbed a water and a yogurt. Might as well try to be healthy. Liam entered the kitchen and he looked awful. He had bags under his eyes and his hair was standing up.

"I don't think I got any better." he said, followed by a cough. My mum felt his forehead.

"No more fever." she said and he looked surprised.

"Oh, wow." he said and coughed again. "So, can I go to school?" he asked.

"I guess." My mum said and he smiled. "Take a shower though. You smell really bad." she said and I laughed and he gave her a hurt look.

"I think I smell amazing, mum." he said and rolled his eyes playfully. He passed me and turned left to the bathroom. 

"He doesn't have any clothes." I said and heard the water start.

"Karen dropped some off early this morning." she said.

"Where were Karen and Geoff?" I asked.

"I don't know." she said and left the kitchen. That was weird...

There was a knock on the door and I walked out of the kitchen and opened it. Louis was in the doorway and quickly walked in.

"Well, hello." I said and he smiled.

"Sorry, I was coming over because Liam told me he'd give me a ride and it was really cold outside." he explained and I nodded. "Oh, and I was going to ask you a really serious question." he said with another smile. I started to feel really nervous. Harry's text didn't mean anything.

"Oh yeah? Well, uh, what was it?" I asked him and he bit his lip a little. Oh my God. "You know, actually I need to go text my boyfrien- I-I-I-I mean Jake that he doesn't need to give me a ride.." I said and mentally slapped myself for stuttering so badly.

"Oh, you and Jake are back together?" he said, looking hurt.

"Yeah..." I said with a sigh. "I'll be right back, wait, actually you can ask me your question first." I said with a crooked smile. 

"Uh..." he said and looked around and then his eyes landed on my shirt. "I just wanted to know if those were still for sale." he said and laughed awkwardly.

"Good one, Tommo." I said and walked up the stairs. I slapped my forehead as I got into my room. 

"You're an idiot. First you stutter, then you say Tommo? I mean, no. C'mon Lanie!" I said, pacing right in front of my door. "I can't believe this. I cannot believe this." I said and sat on my bed. I looked at my nightstand and realized I had never taken the picture of Connor and I off of it. I slowly picked it up. "Am I ready for this relationship?" I asked myself and Louis walked into my room. I quickly shoved the picture under my pillow. "Oh, hi. I just, uh, texted him." I said and started making my bed.

"I thought you really hated Jake..." he said and I looked up at him. 

"I was just mad I guess." I said and he started walking toward me. "It's not like I would date anyone else. Psh." I said and laughed awkwardly. "Who else would like this weirdo anyway?" I said and pointed at myself, but brought my finger up to quickly and poked myself in the eye. "Ow. Wow, that hurt worse than it should have." I said and rubbed it gently.

"Lanie." Louis said and took my hand from my eye and held it. I heard the water that had previously been going, stop. 

"Liam is going to be ready soon." I said and pushed his hand off mine. I walked by him and down the stairs. Please, say this is a dream. I like Jake. I'm ready for that relationship. I am. I heard Louis' footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Well, I'm leaving." My mum said, walking toward the door. 

"Already?" I asked her and she raised her eyebrow at me.

"I'm going in a lot later than I usually do." she said and started walking to the door again. 

"Well, you can stay a little longer." I said.

"Are you alright?" she asked me and I nodded. She kissed my head and opened the door. "I'll be home early... you," she said to Louis, "watch her, she scares me." she said and I fake laughed.

"Funny one, mum." she said and left. I quickly walked to the kitchen. I heard Louis' footsteps again. "Please, stop-" I turned around and bumped into his torso. I looked up at him. "following me." I finished myself and he looked down at me.

"I just wanted to talk..." he said and sighed. I pulled my phone out of my pocket. 

"Can you just give me one second?" I asked him. He nodded and walked into the living room.

To Jake - Hey... can we talk sometime today?

Jake immediately replied.

Jake - You aren't ready? Are you?

I sighed and looked over my shoulder. 

To Jake - I just don't want to make any mistakes...

Helllloooooooo! Sorry for the short update!

So, I only have three more days of school. SO EXCITED!! 

SOOOOOOOOOOOO, what do you think Lanie is going to do? Stay with Jake? Go to Louis? Do you think Louis' question was even what she thought it was? Are you going to answer any of these questions? No. Well, alright then. Love you too.

But seriouslyyyyyyy, I want to hear what you guys think is going to happen. I don't know who you guys like and who you don't. You guys need to tell me these things! :P But I really want to hear what you guys think. Someone told me that I need to include Liam more because it is a Liam Payne fanfic and I totally agree with that person. I just didn't realize until I had written eighteen chapters.... Hahahaha.... Hahaha... Haha... Hahaha... hah. I don't know if you guys even like Jake.... or Darcy or Josh or anyone. I just don't knowwwwwwww. 

What I'm trying to say is that if you gave me feedback, I would love you so fruiting much. I have gone like the whole way without feedback on some of my stories or just not a lot.

I shouldn't beg for feedback... bad Emma...

Oh... I need to go before this gets too bad.

I might be going to New York, so if I don't update next Monday.. I have a reason.
