The corridor was dark, the only audible noise being the whistling of the wind. I was cold, the hairs on my arms stood up. My nightdress blew in the draft from the winter wind. A noise sounded behind me, my pace quickened. Turning the corner I stopped at the second door. I could barely reach the old metal knob. It clicked as my fingers twisted anticlockwise, the hinges creaking slightly. "She's becoming difficult Thomas." The voice which spoke sent a feeling of unease through my body.

"Please she's only young Sir, I am teaching her what I can."

The first voice snarled in reply at the mans answer. "You are not teaching her enough, you give her too much free will!" A loud cracking noise ricocheted through the air, I whimpered and went to back away but a strong hand grabbed my shoulder stopping my escape.

"Were you never told child it's rude to evesdrop." The figure exited the shadows a cruel grin upon his face.

I woke up in a sudden shock, my whole body jolting forward, curls tangled and stuck to my sweaty face. My heart was racing attempting to keep up with my breaths. Looking around the dark room everything seemed to become a whole lot darker, I blinked trying to keep away the tears of fear. It was just a dream, a bad dream nothing more. Go back to sleep. This time I wrapped the covers completely around myself, keeping out the shadows of the night.

Knock knock

Natasha stood outside Emilia's room hoping she'd answer. "Em, you awake?" She called whilst opening the door. There was no reply. Nat sighed and went to leave but something caught her eye, a small white file similar to the one the girl had produced the other day. She went to investigate but was stopped.

"h-hey Nat." Emilia greeted mid way through a yawn. "What you doing here, everything alright?"

"Yeah, Steve asked me to check on you because you missed your training session." She said, casually playing off her curiosity.

"Urgh, I totally forgot!" She pushed her hair out her face "I had a bad sleep last night. I'm so tired."

Nat asked sat on the end of the her bed. "Nightmares?"

The blonde nodded before climbing out the comfort of her duvet and walking into her wardrobe room. "So what's the plan for today?" She called through the closed door. Nat headed over quietly to the file which lay on Em's beside table.

She read it as she answered. "Fury has someone he wants us to meet and then we have a raid on a HYDRA base." She flicked through the pages, What was La Rose Bjiou?

"I really need to get some new leggings." The redhead jumped back onto the bed.

"Well I would say we could go shopping, but look what happened last time." They both laughed as Emilia exited the wardrobe. The two agents began to leave, Romonoff's mind spinning with questions from the mysterious file.

After a long morning preparing for our mission later. I fell down onto the sofa next to Clint in my brand new uniform Stark had made me. It was black material with orange flames up my left leg and a belt holding a range of knives. There was also a gun strapped to my thigh just in case. "Nice suit." Clint commented.

"It's impossible when I need the loo." I replied de-wedgying myself. He shook his head chuckling. "So what are we even doing? Why we raiding HYDRA?" I asked putting my feet onto the coffee table.

"We're in search of Loki's scepta." Thor replied sitting down on the other side of me. I felt the whole thing sink, how heavy can a god be man? "It is not safe in mortal hands, the result could be catastrophic."

"Team as you know the HYDRA base you are taking down today is one of the bigger HQs so you need to prepare for anything." Steve glanced at Banner. "On top of this we still have had no sign of movement from The Mort so you need to be prepared for an attack at anytime. If that does occur priority is to get Emilia to safety. Got it?"

"Ay ay Captain!" I announced fake saluting. Steve rolled his eyes and placed his shield on his back. "Let's roll."

I walked next to Nat as we made our way up to the jet. I think she could tell I was nervous. "Don't panic, stay calm and take out as many as possible."

Na na na na oh oh
Na na na na oh oh
Na na na na oh oh
When the leader of the bad guys sang
Something soft and soaked in pain
I heard his echo from his secret, hideaway,
He must have forgot to close his door,
As he cranked out those dismal chords,
And his four walls declared him insane

I sang quietly as we glided fast through the clouds. "You can sing." Thor stated loudly next to me. Making everyones eye land on me.

"Inside voice Thor, inside voice. And yes I can." I said, shrinking a little to avoid glances.

"Sorry, I forget mortal ears are sensitive." He apologised.

"You don't say." He smiled at me tossing his hammer up in the air and catching it. "Is it not heavy?" I asked signalling at the Mjölnir.

"No, it's very well balanced, quite light to the hold actually, you see if it's too heavy you lose power on the swing." He swung his hand through the air making a whoosh sound with his mouth to demonstrate.

"Actually I get that with my knives they have to be the perfect weight or the spins off." He nodded knowingly.

"Are knives your weapon of choice?" He questioned.

"If my fire fails, they're my most accurate shot. Bow and arrow I'm good, not Hawkeye good, but above average. Guns I'm not too bad with, but I don't like them."

The God gave me a solemn nod. "Never liked them, the things they fire are too small." He said scrunching up his face.

"Bullets?" I asked, slightly confused on how he didn't know what guns fire.

"Yes, I prefer the ones we have at Asgard. Much more efficient." He bringing his hands up and pretending to shoot at Natasha making blast noises as he did so.

"Are they those blue laser things?" I asked, vaguely remembering the Mort getting hold of something similar from Hydra.

He nodded smiling as the redhead shot him a death glare. "Very accurate."

"Okay Cap we're here, I'm pulling us in to land. It's 200m south through the forest to the road." Clint's voice came out from the cockpit.

"Thanks Barton, right Stark I want you to get in the building as quickly as possible, Thor you can go in first as well. Us four we'll hyjack a Lorry head in via the drive." He turned to me. "Can you drive?"

I rolled my eyes. "Can you walk?"

"Fair enough, Dr Banner it may be a code green. Be prepared." Bruce nodded an unhappy frown etched on his face.

"Okay Captain we have one truck coming in approaching the road in 800m." Stark said flying back down to the ground outside the jet.
