Emilia was desperately attempting to support Natasha by the time they reached the hallway to the lab, but she was shattered. Everything in her was tingling with energy, yet she wanted nothing more than to curl up and sleep for ever. The redhead was no better, her face was dirty from the smoke and there was a seeping trail of blood down her jeans. As the two agents struggled towards where Banner worked, Clint Barton was walking in the opposite direction some files in hand. He dropped the paperwork and sprinted over to help the struggling girls.
"What the hell happened?!" He put an arm under Natasha taking the Weight off Emilia, who fell exhausted against the wall. "Em you alright?" He asked worriedly, she waved her hand and hobbled along using the wall for support.
"We got jumped by...the dealers?" Nat panted through the pain of her leg. She turned to Emilia who sighed.
"No, i'll explain later." He nodded. "Nat got shot and I'm fine." She explained, her eyelids drooping every so often.
"Don't worry Barton it's just a graze." Natasha laughed uneasily.
He frowned but noticeably relaxed at the redheads comment. "Em you don't look very fine." He questioned casting his gaze to the small blonde.
She blinked slowly trying to keep her eyes open "I used a lot of energy blowing the building up. Just a bit tired." Clint looked worriedly at the girl, She looked worse than Nat, he thought taking in her unusually pale face.
"It just wouldn't work against that kind of-" Tony was interrupted in his conversation with Bruce.
"Right just drip blood on my nice clean floor then." He commented as the three agents came into the lab. Bruce rushed to assist Clint, who, once they'd set her down, moved over to Emilia, sitting her into a chair.
"Bullet grazed my leg but I'm starting to think it was a bit deeper than a graze, cause it hurts like hell." She exclaimed through gritted teeth. He nodded grabbing some stuff out of one of the cupboards.
"What happened?" Thor demanded stood with his arms crossed.
"Emilia's friends turned up at the store." She replied, wincing as the scientist felt the wound.
"The bullets were poisoned, the antidote is lavender oil. Sounds odd but trust me." A small voice said quietly looking at straight at Bruce. He nodded at Thor who sprinted off.
Tony pressed some buttons getting the news up the on screen. Where a blonde reporter stood in front of the ashen black remains of a store.
"It was at around 10 o clock when a fight broke out here today. According to eye witnesses it started when two female customers got into an altercation with a male customer. One witness stated the lights began to spark and the two women tried to run from the agressive customer. Another witness stated the taller of the two women was shot whilst the other proceeded to assist in the escape of the rest of the customers as more men with guns and weapons arrived. The police believe that a bomb had been planted as minutes later the building exploded. Fortunately, no other casualties were reported as all store goers got out the store safely. Currently, it is being dealt with as a terrorist attack by the NYPD. The two women and males are yet to be identified. A terrorist group is also yet to take responsibility for the attack.
He closed down the screen. "They've covered that up well, and nice fire skills." He turned to the young agent who seemed to be in her own world.
"Thanks." Her voice was scratchy and tired.
"Hey Em, you get hurt at all?" Bruce asked concerned whilst patching up Agent Romanoff's leg. Thor returned carrying a jar of lavender oil and gave it to Bruce.
