Alec woke up to the crinkle of leaves next to him. It was pitch black and the only light came from the dwindling fire. He looked to the side to see Taylor squirming and shaking. "Songbird?" He said rolling over and realizing she was having a nightmare. She was squirming and wriggling around in the leaves getting all dirty. Alec scooted closer to her and hugged her closer to his side. Taylor's breathing calmed and she hugged Alec. She rested her head on his chest and they both fell into a deep sleep.

Jessica was the first one up. She sat up to the sun just above the horizon. The mixture of light colors made her feel at home. She stretched her arms towards the sky with a yawn and stood up. She made her way to the stream that was only a couple of minutes away from the campsite. The stream was beautiful. The clear water rushed down the stream as varieties of fish swam down the stream. Sitting down on a log she took in the scenery. She closed her eyes to take in the sounds of the forest when there was a rustle of leaves behind her. She spun around and grab the dagger and hold it up high to her enemy behind a bush. She was shaking. She was scared. Encounters like this she had someone to lean on. As the figure rises behind the bush she grips her dagger tighter. The man of some sorts was a demon with magled dragon wings and horns. His skin was different than what she thought. His skin was covered with symbols that made no sense. His bloodlust eyes shined in the yellow light giving them a lighter shade of red. He was a tower compared to her. His hand had long nails that were the most ugliest thing you could see. But the claws were holding a spear with a sharp crystal at the tip that changed colors. Jessica screamed, an ear piercing scream that could wake up anyone. The demon swung his weapon at her but she rolled away, managing not to get him. The man threw the spear at her and pierced through her chest. With one last scream to try to warn the rest her solid body fell into dust. There was no blood no mess as the dust fell into the air and down the stream.
