Taylor couldn't sleep. The things that she saw were still racing through her mind. The blood and carnage was keeping her awake. She tried her best to block it all and fall asleep. When she did finally fall asleep it was troubled. She was having random dreams slip in and out of her mind. One stuck out in her mind more than any other. There was a small bottle filled with black liquid. The bottle was hidden somewhere in a tree. She sat straight up breathing hard. She realized she was in Alec's room, making her breathing slow down. Alec was sleeping peacefully next to her. "Fuck." She whispered to herself before quietly getting up. She quietly opened the door and shut it behind her. The entire base was quiet she could only hear her own footsteps. She walked into the kitchen and saw a lone figure in the corner sitting on a chair with knees pulled close to their chest. "What the fuck?" Taylor asked to herself. The person's head snapped up at the noise, moving their long hair out of their face. Dark red eyes looked at her but they quickly change to a light green. It was Danielle from what she could tell. Danielle's grey damaged wings were now clean and was a contrast to her black clothes she was put into. Taylor could see varieties of cuts on her arms and her collarbone. Large bags hung under her eyes from her lack of sleep over the weeks in that hell hole. Danielle's hand was covering a area on her wrist as she held it behind her legs. "You okay Danny?" Taylor asked with a soft tone. "Yeah." Danielle said flatly. Her tone showed she was okay but anyone could tell she was the opposite. "Shouldn't you be asleep?" Taylor asked.
"I could ask you the same thing." Danielle said with a small sarcastic smile, but it quickly vanished as she put her head back down. Taylor walked forward towards the girl, as Danielle started to shake. "I'm sorry." She mumbled. Taylor raised her eyebrows in confusion. "What are you talking- You don't need to be sorry about anything." Taylor said."I didn't ask for this to happen." Danielle said. As she continued to talk Taylor realized she was talking to herself instead of Taylor.
"I was fine. No one would be dead if I just stayed their. I should've put more of a fight. I should have been more careful. I should went down there by myself. No one would've died. They-they should have lived instead of me." Taylor had enough of Danielle mumbling before yelling, "Will you just stop! I much rather have you alive than the one that died!" Danielle started to shake more at the loud noises.
"If I would've died Jessica wouldn't be dead. If I just never been here Angel would be alive and Brendon wouldn't have to deal with losing a friend."
"How did you know that?" Taylor asked but Danielle continued to ignore the question."If I would've been more careful you wouldn't had gone to the chalice of sight and got hurt." Danielle continued to speak as Taylor backed up. She didn't know what to do. They hadn't told Danielle about any of the events that had happen when she was gone, they thought it would affect her badly. "That's one of the powers left behind isn't it?" Taylor pulled a chair from the table and sat across from Danielle. "Danielle I am perfectly fine. We got your back for a reason. We couldn't stand to lose you." She looked to Danielle who was still curled into a ball. "Danielle look at me please?" Taylor plead staring at the shaking girl. "Danny?" Danielle stop mumbling as she slowly looked up, showing no emotion. Taylor smiled at Danielle being able to respond. "I should have just stayed down there so they could kill me." Danielle said tears rolling down her face. Taylor looked at her shocked. "What the fuck is going on?" Yelled a voice behind them. Taylor's head snapped towards the voice as Danielle hung her head. Brendon stood their in shock. "He left me. He died and I was left alone. They came for me and they-they killed me." Brendon and Taylor shared a glance before Brendon sprinted to their side. "What happened?" He asked. Danielle's head snapped up and looked at Brendon. "I did what you wanted. I ran but-but they still found me. They-they killed me the same way they did for you." Danielle started to rock back and forth as she put her hands on the side of her head. "They killed me the same way. It was close to the same time you died, just years later."
"Danny what are you talking about?" Brendon asked. He reached out and placed his hand on Danielle's knees. She quickly kicked it away startling the whole group. Taylor and Brendon looked at each other. Brendon abruptly stood up as he started to pace around the room. Taylor stood up and watched him pacing.
"What do we do?" Taylor asked.
"I don't know." Brendon replied.
"Do you know how to fix it?"
"I don't know."
"Has this happen before?"
"I don't know Taylor!" He yelled. The room fell into silence. Out of nowhere they heard the kitchen door swing shut. The two quickly looked to the corner and saw an empty chair.
