Chapter 34

Taylor quickly stepped off the platform back into the familiar forest. "We walk until we get back to where we camped before then we'll stay there tonight." Taylor said leading the group forward into the forest. The group walked for about three hours back to the last campsite. When they got back Brendon started a fire and everyone laid around it exhausted. Mark and Sean were the first to fall asleep they laid together sleeping peacefully. Angel was lying away from Brendon while Brendon was lying closer to Dallon. Liam was lying farther away from the group, contemplating. Alec and Taylor were lying together, Taylor's head was on Alec's chest. Alec fell asleep first leaving Taylor to be alone with the crackling off the fire. Everyone else was sleeping but, Taylor couldn't the memories kept playing over and over again. She decided to get up and walk around. She walked to the stream and watched the water flow. She looked up to the moon and sighed. "I should practice right?" She asked no one but, the world around her. She spread her wings out her feathers ruffled in the wind. She took a deep breath and moved them down, swiftly she was shot into the sky. "H-holy shit!" Taylor screamed while she flew into the sky. She quickly began to fall back to Earth. "Oh shit!" She did the same thing again and went higher into the night sky. She decided after a hour of rising, gliding and falling she would get some sleep. Taylor landed not safely but, in the stream. It was good enough she thought as she climbed out, soaked. "Well that was cool." Came Angels voice from the edge of the trees. "W-what." Taylor was caught off guard and looked at her confused. "I said that was cool." Angel sat on the river bank watching Taylor climb out of the stream. Taylor was hesitant to sit next to Angel but, did it anyway. "How'd you do it?" Angel asked as she stared at Taylor who was dripping wet. "Well um I really don't know. I guess i'm different?" Taylor phrased it as a question not knowing the answer herself. The wind blew over the stream and Taylor shivered. The quietness lasted for a moment before Angel spoke up again. "What happened between Brendon and that Dallon guy?" Angel asked looking up at the stars. "Well before everything went insane. They kissed. Brendon kissed Dallon and then they have done nothing since." Taylor said while squeezed out her hair. "Oh okay thanks for the info." Angel said sounding a little hurt. "I'm sorry Angel. I'm sorry about... about Jessica." Taylor turned away from her. "It's okay. Thanks" Angel got up and walked back towards the tree line. "You coming" She called out before disappearing into the trees. Taylor got up and walked quietly back to the campsite and laid back down next to Alec. She fell asleep in an instant.
