Chapter 46

Danielle didn't move from her spot on the floor. She been staring at the same spot ever since Liam left. Now she was emotionless, staring at the door. A sudden wave of a strong heat came behind her. She pulled her knees closer to her chest and put her head on her knees. "Hey Sweetheart." The Devil's said while sliding in front of her. Danielle said nothing and avoided eye contact with the monster. "Not talking?" He asked while examining the girl. "Well then i'll just go ahead and talk." He said standing up. "Well if you don't know you have a power inside you, Brendon did too but he gave it up. Well that doesn't matter-"

"What about Brendon?" Danielle abruptly said.

"What did he not tell you?" The Devil asked as a smile formed on his face. Danielle shook her head. The Devil let out a deep dark chuckle right before talking. "Oh well he just worked for me. He killed people with me. He destroyed things with me. He used to be my right hand man. Well now he left and I don't have one." The Devil took a paused while acting to be sad. "Which is one of the reasons why i'm here." He quickly smiled before continuing to talk. "Since Brendon walked away from his job I need someone to take his role. And the only one who is capable of doing that is you." The Devil expected a reaction. Something. Her jumping towards him. Her starting to shake. But no, she stayed calm. "I will not take your offer. I want nothing to do with you." Danielle said looking straight at him. The Devil smile faded. "You don't, get it sweetheart." He said sweetheart with venom. "You have to do this. You can't say no."

"There is nothing that says I can't. I will not work with you, ever." Danielle eyes stared at him with a deep dark red color.

"Your powers are taking over." The Devil said with amusement. This little detail could help him win the game. "They will soon take over and control you." Danielle didn't believe anything he was saying.

"That's not true." Danielle said letting anger slip.

"You'll lose control and Brendon will have no choice to send you to me." He said happily. Danielle hands curled into fist but she refused to move.

"He won't do that. He will find a way, but it will never happen."

"Oh but it's already taking over." After he said that his head snapped towards the blank wall. "What do you mean?" Danielle asked but she didn't get an answer. "Answer me!" She yelled. "I must go." Was the only thing he said before a strong just of wind swirl around the room. Danielle closed her eyes from the strong wind and opened when the room stilled. The devil was gone.
