Liz and Angie decided to go to lunch, just the two of them, the others stayed back at the house, the two talked about everything and what they had been doing the past four years. As they made their way back to their house they bumped into Vicky and Barnabas, Barnabas invited himself over, Liz and Angie weren't too happy about it but neither of them were in the mood to argue.
Back at the house Liz made some tea and they all sat around living room table while Avery played in her room, hiding from her father.
"So, did you have to go to the appointments and what not on your own during the pregnancy?" Barnabas asked looking at Angelique who nodded, Liz and Julia shared the same concerned facial expression, they didn't know he would say. "What was it like?" Angelique shrugged and both Julia and Liz rolled their eyes. "Did you ever wish I was there?" Angelique shook her head fighting back the tears, she didn't know why he kept asking her, she also didn't know why it was upsetting her so much. "Oh come on, I know you needed me there" he said "What abut when she was born?"
"Barnabas enough! leave her alone" Vicky told him
"FINE! you wanna know how I felt?" Angie asked standing up from her seat and turning to look down at him "I was scared and alone, I had no one with me. no matter who was there I would have felt alone, you know I didn't ant you knowing about her so why the hell would I want you there with me? so you could remind me of what a bad mother you thought I would have been? so you could take her away as soon as she was born? the only person I wanted with me was Liz! I needed her, I needed her to be the one to hold my hair back when I was sick, I needed her to be the one to hold my hand through every appointment that I went to and I needed her to be there with me when Avery was born!"
FLASHBACK TO WHEN AVERY WAS BORN
Angelique held her new baby close to her chest, she smiled, gently rubbing the back of her finger up and down her daughters soft cheek, a tear slid down her cheek "Liz would love you" she smiled again.
"That's how I felt during the whole pregnancy and when she was born! are you happy now Barnabas. knowing that I finally didn't want you in my life and realising that after over two hundred years?!" Liz and Julia stood on each side of Angelique and sat her down, both holding her hands. Barnabas didn't say a word, he didn't know what to say or how to feel exactly.
