People compare their hearts
to steel
and stone,
and iron
but never to windows.

Some hearts are the windows
that shatter
and break
if a stone is thrown at it.

But other hearts are the windows
that stand strong
and confident
even if a large rock is thrown at it.

But I guess you can never really tell
which window you are
if you are already broken.
