Ethan's POV

Sidriel is not like I thought it would be. It looks like a city that I would see in a book. It looks really normal. I'm already loving this place.

Arina and Alex start to walk forward as the portal disappears.

I'm too distracted by all the buildings and streets too follow. Everything is so amazing and huge!

"Ethan. Hurry up!" I hear Arina say, and I quickly run to catch up.

I'm worried that some of the Cidedien's will be suspicious of my white eyes.

However, Arina and Alex said I should claim I'm blind if anyone asks. It wouldn't have been a bad idea if my Iris' weren't black at the end, it's a mutation in my genes, got it from my father.

We keep walking through the large metal buildings with catwalks and street poles and glass windows.

I'm so amazed I don't even notice how hot it's getting. Man.. Sidriel brings some serious heat. I fan out my jacket and keep walking.

After awhile of checking street signs, Alex burst out, "That's it. We need to ask a Cidedien for directions-"

However, Arina quickly cuts her off. "No we don't. That's too risky," She hisses at the Owanel.

"It's worth a try!"

I watch them both silently. They look like an old married couple. It's  actually quite amusing. However, I have no time for this.

I quickly turn my back and start walking down the street.
I quickly notice something in the alley way to my left. Man this is gonna be a bad idea... I tell myself as I walk down the alleyway.

"Hey! You?" I ask the hooded figure standing in the alley.

They stand tall. Taller than me. It has the body structure of a man, but it can be a really muscular woman. Who knows?

The figure does not move to my response. "Um, do you know where 45th street is?" I ask them and they don't do anything.

By this point I'm feeling unbearable heat. I don't dare take off my jacket or use my powers to cool myself down.

I watch the figure and it stares at me. I can barely see it's face. After what seems like years it replies, "Who wants to know?"

It's a man's voice, raspy and deep. It makes fear run over my body like a wave. I hate to admit it, but I'm a huge wimp.

Almost instantly ice began to form at my feet. I silently curse myself as I look back up at the hooded man.

"Roplana," He sneers and before I know it I'm thrown into a wall.

My chest and back explodes in pain and I want to scream out for help, however I don't think screaming will help my situation. I quickly move my hand and ice shards shoot out at the man.

I remember my grandmother's words in my head. I will always be powered by fear... I remind myself. Love isn't an option.

The Cidedien quickly has his hand on my neck. Another pins my hands together.

I gag and choke. At this point I can see the man's face. He has shaggy blonde hair that grows over his blue-green eyes. A sneer is on his face. He looks pissed off.

I gulp and stare at him. He only stares back.

"You are coming with me," The Cidedien states and I instantly see black.

When I wake up I find myself in a very small room. It has one window and one bed. The walls are a light green, and the paint is peeling off. I feel extremely hot and sweaty.
