I tap my foot impatiently, my eyes glancing around the small bedroom as I wait in a chair in the corner. Clara is still unconscious on the bed and hasn't moved. Her hair is a dark red, wet and wilted from the water attack and her aura just seemed dim. Her armor she wears that's usually encased in flames is now out, and smoking.
She looks terrible.
Chang told me to watch over her until she wakes up, for if she doesn't know where she is she could start a rampage... And who wants a reptilian fire fairy to do that?
I've been sitting here for the past hour, getting more nervous the more time seems to go on. I've created a seriously bad habit of picking at the belt of spikes when I'm nervous... I should probably stop that before I lose a finger.
My eyes stray across the red painted and royal looking room. The whole bedroom gives me a medieval feel with its massive décor and queen sized bed with a red type of fabric rolling above and over the sides.
Clara looked confusingly at home.
I let out a long sigh, but it gets cut off when I hear a cough.
I sit up straight rapidly in my chair, my wings flapping as I stand.
I stay silent as Clara coughs up a bit more water before gasping and opening her eyes.
"Where am I?" She asks immediately and I smile wildly, using my wings to hop myself next to the bed.
Clara flinches.
"At Chang's house in Sidriel!" I answer happily and Clara looks up at me with wide eyes.
"What-how-what happened? Where are the others? Are they alright?"
I tilt my head, letting out an excited squawk that makes her flinch again.
"Everyone's fine! Chang transported us out of the cabin as soon as he could. You've been unconscious for hours."
Clara glances around the room before looking up at me again.
"Ethan? Is he okay?"
"Oh yeah he's fine! He's resting in Chang's freezer," I respond with a nod and Clara blinks.
"We have a weird group," I continue and Clara looks at me up and down.
"Yeah..."
She slowly looks up at the ceiling before slowly sitting up and I back away, giving her space.
"Do you want-"
"No."
She turns away from me, swinging her legs around and slowly standing. My head tilts again as Clara visibly shivers, her hair lighting and puffing out, her shoulders and fingers bursting into flames. She rolls her neck, her hair going aflame for a short second and her body is dried.
I slowly blink.
"I think that was the coolest thing I've seen in my life," I say and Clara looks at me over her shoulder with a small smile.
She shakes her head, turning back around with a small chuckle.
"Thanks..."
She cracks her knuckles, popping her knees and turning around to face me with an ashen look.
"I'm guessing we have to go back to Aqurica after everyone settles huh?"
I tilt my head again.
"What? Oh no! I fogot to tell you, Chang transported the Askea with us as well."
Clara's eyes widen and she doesn't say anything. I nod, continuing.
"Yeah, he's tied up in a room."
