Even though I came from a gangster's family but I hated stealing from someone who didn't have enough. But right now I had no option but to steal from a maid since I cannot show up in a princess' outfit. I was 'undercover' as per Elias' letter.
So I was dressed in maid's simple dress and waited for Elias who I left a few moments ago as a bodyguard. The market was indeed beautiful. The fragrance of food was alluring me, there was a colourful piece of clothing all over with some girly pins and shoe shops.
There were a lot of handicraft stuff and also wishing well stop. It was a date alright just like in modern times but on a historical movie set up.
"It was my idea." Elias' voice caught my attention.
"What?"
"Market. It benefits the people who work on such beautiful crafts with their own hands."
He was a great Prince for sure, something I didn't expect at first. And he will make a great King without any doubt but with so many enemies I was scared for his life.
"I love your hair colour." He said suddenly and I looked at him with an arched brow.
"Just an observation."
Yes, maybe for you but little things like this was unsettling for me and my heart.
"So you are buying something for me, right?" I asked to start a normal conversation which I was really bad at.
He laughed out loud and it felt good to hear him laugh freely.
"Anything you want." He said and smoothly interlaced his fingers through mine.
Heat spread all over my face and I was helpless in this situation.
"Alisha." He said it like a thought to himself.
"Huh?"
"It just feels great to say your name out loud." And he smiled at me.
The market was really crowded and I had to be on double alert to keep him safe.
"You seem distracted." He pointed out correctly.
"I am since you have a lot of enemies."
"And does my having enemies offend you or make you uncomfortable somehow?"He wanted to know if him being the King could make me not like him.
"As long as you can handle the enemies and not let them near me, I am fine," I said in the most princess-y manner possible.
"Yeah, I will make sure of that but as I have seen you could handle enemies on your own quite well." He seemed cheered up at my answer.
"I have heard rumours about you," I said in an attempt to tease him.
"What rumours?" He was immediately on defense mood.
"You get bored with once girl easily." Well, this was a lie but isn't that the usual rumour about a good looking guy.
"I did." He said after much thought.
"Don't worry I am not easily heartbroken," I said with an attempt at being a cool non-clingy girl.
"Who said I am bored of you?" He asked with a frown of worry.
"You are not, yet but maybe after few meetings."
"Then let me decide after few meetings?" He asked hopefully.
I was conflicted that should I be worried that he didn't outright refuse that he will be bored of me or happy that he was asking for more dates.
"We will see how you do today and then decide," I answered him in a playful manner.
