A knock was heard on the door as I gulped down my anxiety, quickly straightening my form clothes and readying my papers and pens before shouting a 'come in' and waiting for them to enter. Yesterday I settled down in my office and today my work was officially started.
They entered, the guard quickly unlocking the handcuffs and throwing the inmate onto the sofa before coming over to me and taking out another handcuffs from his pocket and handing it to me with the key of it.
"One of these are always required for the staff members incase anything goes wrong." He said sternly and I raised my eyebrows at him taking the handcuffs and grinning at them before locking and unlocking it playfully. He subtly shook his head before walking away and glaring at the inmate and then leaving the room.
So here we go. My first patient ever.
I sneaked a look at him with my head still lowered, noticing his hard stare at me before I put the handcuffs away. I need to be focused. I shouldn't leave a bad first impression on him. I cleared my voice before speaking up.
"Hello" I looked up at him and smiled before tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"Can I know your name?" I smiled again not wanting to sound demanding as I was just trying to have a simple conversation with him and actually forget about his problems for a moment and get to know him a little.
He pushed his sleeve up with his other hand, raising it a little up for me to see the tattoo on his arm with a bored expression on his face. I observed the tattoo a little with my body hovered over the table as I tried to get a better view of his hand.

"Nice" I nodded my head at his tattoo with a smile on my face before his hard glare cut right through my head make my smile turn into a forced one before my body lowered from the table slowly, sinking down in my chair.
The hospitality is amazing here.
"Look. I already have your case." I said raising the papers in my hand and showing them to him. When he continued to stare at me not even blinking I shook the papers in front of his face, pointing at the exact numbers that he showed me, printed on the papers. "And your code of course."
"So why you ask my name." He said his lips barely moving as I sighed under my breath.
"Well I wanted to hear it from you." I beamed up at him before looking at his case.
"And that's not your name that's your-"
"Why," he half shouted.
"Does it matter" he continued his sentence with a calm tone.
"You're right, I'm sorry. What's the need to converse when I have your case right?"
"Wait and you call yourself a fucking Psychologist but you don't take the time to converse with your patients?" He said shifting a little closer to my desk in anger.
I stole a quick look at his case.
'BPD, PPD,-
I looked up smiling at him but my mind was somewhere else.
PPD as in Paranoid Personality. Yeah he sure had that one.
Disorder and BPD as in Borderline Personality Disorder and one of the symptoms of people suffering from BPD is that they have a very low self esteem and-
