(Ivy's POV)
I wake up after however many hours and find myself in a strange building. Bright lights, clean white walls and floors and the smell of rubber gloves floating through the air.
Yes, I am in the hospital.
I rip all the medical gear off my arms and get up from my bed. Why I am here is still a blur but all I can think of is Harley. Harley. Harley.
I don't remember what she did to make me think of her but I instantly know it'll be something Selina hates and I love. Like most things Harley does.
Walking over to the window, I see on some files on the ledge that I am due to be put on murder trial when I heal. If I heal. Whatever Harley did must have been serious.I stare out the window and see my reflection staring back at me. Boxy blue tunic, tangled hair, rabid eyes. It's night out there. Dark, dangerous, delightful. I compare the size of the window to my body. I can just about fit through.
Darting my eyes around the room, I notice my suit. Quickly, I change and clamber out the window into the endless blackness that is a night in Gotham City. Sirens wailing, a bat signal across the sky, gunshots, screams. It's a relief to be back in reality. I really did miss Gotham; if only it were greener.
As I sprint, climb and swing my way through the city I think of something-or rather someone. Harley. And Selina. But Harley is going to be in so much trouble. I have to save her!
But then I remember. Everything. The bat signal in the sky. It's a warning. A warning not to go back. Never to go back.
Goodbye Harley.
