You walked home with Squints because eventually Chops would come and pick you both up anyways. "The court meeting tonight is either going to mean life or death for the sandlot." I knew what he meant, and it was we might never see the sandlot ever again, never visit our past. "Yeah, I know." We walked along the street until reaching his house. It was a nice seafoam white one story house. Squints unlocked the door and let me in first I don't know why he did this because I've never been here before so I didn't know what I was doing.

I saw a couch and decided to make myself at home I didn't have a coat on because it was getting a little warmer during these past summer days. Squints grabbed you a coke out of the small fridge that gave off a luminescent light. He turned on the television and the first thing that came on was the sports chance playing baseball of course. "Is this where you get all your coaching tips?" I asked sarcastically, Squint quickly searched through the channels before saying, "No one was supposed to know that." He said in a deep voice, I was scared then noticed his sarcasm and lightly slapped him on the shoulder, "Too late," I said as he playfully hit me back. he turned off the television and Squints and I sat and in the dim light of his house and talked about what we have been doing since we last saw each other, and that conversation was long. We heard a knock on the door assuming it was Chops squints turned off the kitchen lights as I headed to the door when he grabbed my hand, spun me around, and kissed me on the lips. I swore I could have shoved him back to the couch and run out the door but I just let him go in front of me. He opened the door to be greeted by Chops, "Well come on." He says ask squints grabs my hand and pull me through the door and I shut it behind me.

We got to the court meeting and I again sat between chops and Squints, Squints sometimes looked over to Chops and sometimes touching my leg to make sure I was still there. The first half an hour was so shady because it was all some trash talk about the sandlot so I dosed off by looking around the room. I finally focused back in when I heard chattering about Needman and Squints. Chops reached to squints and said, "Do it, Squints. The kids are playing great ball and with Santorelli in center field, we can't be beat." I was genuinely confuzzled. Squints stood up and said, "All right, Mr. Chairman. We accept the challenge. On one condition. The game for the sandlot is played on the sandlot." I eventually figured it out, this was one giant team to beat. I didn't even argue.
