I walked out with my jacket half on and I didn't know what real was going on. I got in the back seet because trying to put a jacket on without distracting the drive is a skill I don't have. I slid in the backseat not expecting Squints to be there at all. I was still embarrassed about what happened when I meet him for the first time, I blushed but then asked what was going on. "You know how Needman said that the sandlot was sitting on some profitable land, he's trying to get the county to sell the sandlot." Squints says putting the air quotations when he said profitable. The court wasn't far away so his story took all the time to get to the court. We sat down in the fifth row from the front, Squints on my right and Chops on my left. Then Needman started to talk. "That ball feild is sitting on some very profitable land, hell I used to play there myself-" "this is bull" Squints says in my ear. All of a sudden Squints tilted his head back to Needman for him to here "-I would be lying if I said I wasn't here to be making a buck because I sure am." That was when Squints got up and said. "Everyone all Earl Needman is in for is fattening his wallet-" I herd some mumbled of yes and nodding of heads. I was just embarrassed for him but he has done things more stupid than this. "If we vote to let him do this now we're losing something more than our future-" squints tried to finish before Needman said "and what would that be Mr. Palledorous?" Oh no he's going to say something stupid I thought, but he didn't, Squints turned to Needman and said "Our history, who used to play on that field" he says I rase my hand and I also see Needman rase his hand also. Then Squints sat down and he was breathing pretty heavy, "Pretty big speech for you Squints" I said giggling a little under my breath as he punched me lightly on the arm while smiling. Now everyone was getting up, I guess it was over, "This is an offer of the life time people" Needman says as we were walking out, Squints just pushed me along as I smiled.
