You woke up around 7:30 by the bright sunlight shining in your eyes. You shoved you fluffy quilt blanket to one side of your bed and sat up. sitting up you brush your cold clammy hand through your h/l h/c hair. You open the door to your bedroom before stepping out onto the icy wooden floor. You pulled your floor back, you then but it back down onto the floor and quickly tiptoed to the bathroom. You ran into the small bathroom and shut the door quietly not knowing that no one was still in the house. starting the shower you take off the giant oversized shirt you bought at the Dodger's game. When the water was finally warm enough you stepped in, getting your hair wet you and grab the shampoo, you wash and rinse and repeat that for the conditioner. You grab a towel off the bamboo shelf and dried off while heading back to your room. Grabbing jean short, a black tank top, a jean jacket, with a circular diamond locket with amethyst in the center, that your dad had given you on your birthday a couple years before you moved away. You also grabbed a brush out of your bag because something had to get through your hair and fingers were not going to cut it.
After you got dressed and ready for the day you headed down to Vincent Pharmacy, you remembered that Squints worked there, you wanted to do something for him because of how down he was feeling about the sandlot bisness. you walk in seeing only a couple costumes, not as busy as usual in the 60's but it still looks the same. After a minute or two of you looking around, Squints came out of a little tiny room in the back and started to head out the door. You put down the book you were looking at and walked after him after he got stopped waiting to cross a street you finally caught up to him. "Hey," you said putting your hand on his shoulder "Where you going?" "Next time you do that call my name from a distance first," Squints said, I think I finally scared him, I laughed a small bit but then he started to walking across the street. "I'm going to the Sandlot, If that really why you've been following me." he said laughing again, "Great, but before you do that can I ask you something?" I said quickly, "Sure?" he said questioningly, "Is the Sandlot team going to be in the little league tournament thingy?" I asked not sure what to call that thing. "Yeah they always are," he said still walking.
I did something last night because I knew they were going to be in it no matter how bad they are. I grabbed his wrist, "Well then I got something to show you." I said leading him in a different direction from where we came from. "Come on Y/n I gotta coach the team," as I stopped in front of the shirt print shop. "You can't have a team with no uniforms Squints," I said Squint just stopped and looked at me "Really I was going to do that?" He said laughing, "Mine are better, trust me. Plus you still can 'pitch' in by paying." I said laughing whether he gave me an annoyed look because of my pun or because he had to pay, either way, it was funny.
