A lot of this chapter is going to be a twitter conversation between Angela and one of the boys and it's kinda important. Lemme know what ya think. >.<

Luke took us out to dinner at an Italian restaurant overlooking the water. Before we left, I'd found my biggest purse and put the box of cupcakes inside it. After dinner, I surprised Luke with them and his eyes widened at the sight of the red velvet one, which I then learned which was his favorite kind. I had a carrot cake one and Sophia had a strawberry one. They were amazing, and we were so full.

It was nearly dark when we left the restaurant, but we spent the last moments of sunset walking along the canal, occasionally stopping to take pictures or throw some food to ducks and fish. At one point, I looked to my left and noticed Luke taking a picture of me, leaning against the railing and looking down at the water. I raised and eyebrow at him and smiled. He blushed.

I still couldn't get over the fact that this didn't seem like a job. I got paid to spend time with fun people. I got paid to be with these people who had become my friends. And soon, hopefully, we'd be adding to our little party of three.

When we got home, I plugged in my phone (which had died half way through dinner), and put pajamas on. Then I went downstairs to help Luke, who was helping Sophia into a nightgown. I brushed her hair and teeth while he changed as well, and then I went upstairs as Luke and Sophia went to bed in the living room.

I was very eager to check my phone. The whole night I kept wondering if my message would be answered or not. As my phone powered on I sat readily in my bed after kicking off my slippers and climbing under the blanket. I felt my phone vibrate and on the screen I saw:

New private message from @calumhood: Hey there- cool to hear from you. Been trying to get in touch with Luke for a long time but seems like he's disappeared. I can't believe what happened to Sophia! Let me know how she's doing! And as for the boys and I coming down, we'd love to but I don't know. We didn't really leave off on the best terms. Thanks for the offer though :)

Well then. Not the answer I expected.

Luke never mentioned a fight before. I decided to message him back.

Me: Sophia is getting better every day. We even took her out who dinner tonight. What went wrong with you and Luke, of you don't mind me asking? And I totally understand if you don't want to talk about it... But I would ask you to just consider coming down. Luke really needs some guys around him. (About talking more- yes.) >.<

@calumhood: I'll talk to the guys and see what they think about coming down there. We just had a... disagreement. Nothing you need to worry about, boo. ;)

Me: boo? Where did that come from

Calum: idk honey. Just trying it out. Why did you message me anyway? You could have chosen Michael or Ash.

Me: shhh that's a secret.

Calum: I love secrets. I'm full of them.

Me: I'm sure you are, pretty boy.

Calum: ha! So you think I'm pretty!

Me: I'm going to bed you weirdo

Calum: Goodnight, sweet thang.

Calum: Wish I was there to kiss you goodnight.

Calum: :*

Calum: I'm joking, god. The least you could do is say goodnight. :(

Me: Goodnight pretty boy >.<

Calum: !!!!!!!!

Ughghhh this chapter is really short but the semester has started again and I'm trying to get back into some sort of routine. Thank you to anyone who's reading. ❤ I've had a hard time writing, but when I get back into it I'll try and write a few chapters at a time so I can update even when I can't write anything.

Thought though- would you rather have more updates or longer chapters????
