Chapter 18

I'm so so so so sorry it's taken me this long you guys. I really am. I promise it won't take this long for the next one! I promise! Atl chapter 18

"Woah slow down there Skye!" Alex called after me as we rounded the corner to Zack's room. I was at a slow jog at this point and didn't want to slow down! I wanted to go tell Jack that I was in love with him! "Do you even know what your gonna say?" Alex continued. I stopped dead in my tracks. I hadnt actually thought about that part yet.

"Not exactly." I confessed.

"Well now would be a good time to think about that wouldnt it?" he had a good point. We were about ten steps away from Zack's room, I suppose that it would be good to know what I was gonna say.

"Hmmm well what do you think I should say?" I asked hesitantly. Jack was his best friend, he would know what I should say right? Thats the role of the best friend isn't it? We probably looked like idiots standing in the middle of the corridor, but at this point I really didn't care, the butterflies in my stomach were beginning to drive me insane!

"Well he probably won't want you to do it in front of the guys." I nodded. He was probably right. I should do it somewhere else. "So maybe when we get in there wait for like five minutes and then say you forgot something in the bus and then tell him there?" Alex suggested. For someone who was totally opposed to us dating at first, he sure was helping me out a lot more than expected.

"Do I have to wait for five whole minutes?" I pouted. I'm pretty sure I'd explode from excitement if I waited that long.

"It'll be kind of obvious if you don't." Alex pointed out.

"Why does that matter? The guys are gonna know as soon as I walk in the room anyways!" I said impatiently. Butterflies flew in my abdomen as more time passed by. My adrenaline was so high, I thought I was going to explode!

"True. I guess do whatever you want then." Alex said shrugging. "Now let's go before you die of excitement." he said and we began walking towards Zack's room again.

I seriously thought that I was going to burst from anxiety. I had never felt like this before, even with Patrick, which told me that this was definitely real love, and not made up teen love. At least I hoped it was. I really did love Jack, I couldn't imagine what my life would be like if he hadn't been in it.

"Break a leg." Alex said right before I opened the door, I looked back and smiled at him. Id have to be sure to thank him later for this, and ask him why he was so willing to help me.

"What took you guys so long?" Zack said when we walked through the door.

"Alex here takes forever to pick out food and eat it." I explained leaving out the part where I asked for Alex's advise.

"I do not! There were just so many choices!" Alex said in defense.

"There were like three." Jack pointed out.

"Three very good choices I might add." Alex said.

"There were still three." I said. "So how you doing?" I asked Zack hoping to strike conversation to stall time before I could go tell Jack I was in love with him. Just thinking about it made me get a huge smile on my face that was difficult to cover up.

"Eh, I've been better. I'm starving." he said back.

"They won't feed you anything?" I asked.

"Nope, nothing. Only ice chips." he said with a small frown on his face that I couldn't help but laugh at. He looked like a little puppy begging for food! "Don't laugh at my pain!" he said sending me a mock glare.
