I couldn't understand what was happening. Tiara and Adrian were sent at my cottage to dress me up in an armour and take me somewhere. I was afraid there was going to be a war. Wasn't it too soon for that? I wasn't ready!
They both sat on my bed as I tugged my hair in a bun staring at myself in the mirror."Can you hurry up already?" Adrian said, irritated.
"I already told you to leave. I don't want anything to do with you. And no, I can't hurry up!" I snapped at him, not feeling guilty at all. If he wouldn't have done anything about my escape, my brother would have been alive today. I blame him.
"Adrian, please go and wait outside. I'll bring her." Tiara sweetly said to him and he nodded without saying anything. Then he got up and not meeting eyes with me, left the room.
"Here. Wear this, fast." Tiara brought the helmet to me and put it on my head, closing the buckle.
I looked like a warrior, dressed in a silver armour. I met eyes with myself in the mirror and saw the tears pooling up in it.
Soon, I snapped out of my trance and wished myself luck for whatever was coming. Then, Tiara and I stepped out of the bedroom.Adrian was gone when we reached the pavement outside my cottage. I was glad at that, to be honest. I locked the place and turned towards her.
We both held hands and closed our eyes."Veho Vecto."
The next moment I opened my eyes I was standing in a tunnel which ended a few yards away from me. I could see a field where the tunnel opened. The wall of the tunnel looked ancient. I was fascinated by the stone work but then my attention turned towards the cheers and shouts of the crowd. Though I didn't get where it was coming from.
"Tiara? Where are we?" I asked her, not understanding anything.
"Look there." She pointed towards the field. "You see the sword fight going on there? They are the senior year students of high school. It's their exam going on." She explained.
"Oh, so are we here to watch?"
"I am here to watch. You aren't. It's your exam as well." She smirked.
My eyes popped out of its sockets.
"WHAT?""Ahan!"
"But this is insane. I don't wanna do this. They look so big." I yelled, staring horrifyingly at the build up guy and girl sword fighting with each other.
"You'll not fight with them." Tiara shook her head and muttered. "You'll fight with their professor. This is your final fight that will prove if you're capable of standing in the war. Good luck, Aileen!"
She sprinted away behind me after saying that. I was frozen at my place.
Raymond. I was going to see Raymond.
I was so occupied and depressed with everything that has been going on that I didn't think what will happen with him now that I'm staying here. We both kissed that day. Now what?
"The final match between our long lost princess Aviana and our Professor Raymond starts in ninety seconds. I request the opponents to take their positions quickly on the field."
A thick voice echoed through the field and the crowd's cheering became even louder. My heart thumped with nervousness and fear. But on the other side, I was excited. Given I was almost ready for this fight, I thought I could beat him.I closed my eyes and tightened my fists, breathing in and out slowly. Then I, without any fear started advancing towards the field. My legs shook when I saw a blurred figure walking towards the same circle I was strolling in. I handled myself and plastered a tough expression on my face, meeting eyes with him.
