While I was getting ready Junior was in his room searching through things seeming to go absolutely mad.
"What do you think you're doing Junior?!" He said viciously out loud.
"She helped me. She can help us." He said.
"She can't help you! You're a death eater. Being kind hasn't gotten you this far." He said angrily to himself.
"But now that the Dark Lord is no more, I don't have to kill anyone else." He said softly.
Junior always had another voice in his head. It was the one that kept him alive. For most of his life, his other personality was kept quiet and rarely ever came into focus. But after he went to Azkaban for the first time, his mind fell apart and that other personality took over for the most part. His other half even developed a habit when it manifested. Anytime the other half took over he would lick the corner of his mouth quickly. The sad part is, the real Junior went along with all of his other half's schemes so no matter how you want to spin it, he was still guilty of every crime he ever committed.
He grabbed his hair and keeled over, trying to get his other half to stop.
"Stop it! Please!" He yelled in agony.
"I'm not going to stop! Not until the Dark Lord is raised up once more. You remember why we followed him to begin with?!" He said cruelly.
Tears started to well up in his eyes. Just then I yelled out into the hallway for him.
"Junior? Where are you?" I yelled cupping my hands around my mouth.
I heard some shuffling coming from a room. As I got closer and closer it sounded like there was two different people talking to each other. When I opened the door I only saw Junior standing in the middle of the room.
"Junior?" I asked.
He turned around sharply and greeted me.
"Hey."
"Are you ok? I thought I heard someone else in here with you." I said walking into the room.
"Naw, no one here but me." He said smiling.
His tongue began flicking the corner of his mouth. In his head the other voice spoke
"See. She knows. We have to get rid of her."
We decided that I was going to make dinner, he had never tasted muggle food. This means that magic has made all of his meals, he had never really had a home cooked meal. Which was shocking to me because it was the one thing I was able to do well without magic.
"You know I was a baker in the muggle world, right?" I asked as we were walking down the hallway together.
"You mean you made pastries and bread without any help from magic?" He asked completely stunned.
"Yeah! I mean I used it sometimes to clean up, but still, I had to measure out the proper quantities and baked it all myself." I said proudly.
We walked down the grand staircase and headed towards the kitchen.
"Wow sounds like a struggle." He said honestly.
"Sometimes it was, but muggle bread beats magic made bread any day." I said laughing.
"Doubt that." He said seriously.
We entered into the kitchen, which was as big as my entire flat. He showed me where everything was, the fridge and pantry full of food. A walk in freezer with every kind of muggle and magic meat you can imagine. It was astonishing.
