If someone was to ask me what is the first thing that pops into my head when I hear the word Hogwarts, I would have to say that it's the smell. Mind you, I don't find the smell of it particularly nice smell but it smells like home. If you can say that home is a smell.

I am sitting with my fellow Gryffindors in the great hall. The first years haven't come into the hall yet and everyone is extremely loud. I hear the girls giggling, chatting and being downright annoying. "Merlin, would you guys ever shut up," I say pushing my arms up. I get a few dirty looks, specifically of Lavender before I stand up and walk over to the boys.

I can't stand girls! Well, that's not true. I like some girls. I just know that if I'm friends with boys, I won't have to deal with all the drama. I see Dean and Neville sitting next to each other. "Hey Charlotte come over here," Dean says waving. I walk over to them and sit down. "Is it true?" Neville asks his eyes widening. "Is what true?" I ask. "You know what you did on the train?" Dean butts in. "Yeah," I say shrugging it was an everyday occurrence.

I mean a non-corporeal Patronus is quite an achievement but a corporeal is something to be proud of. I only brushed it off my shoulder because I don't want to look boastful. "Are you serious? I can hardly even turn something to a different color." Neville says standing up. I laugh slightly.

Hagrid walks into the great hall. He pauses at the door, looks around a small bit and then heads over towards us or should I say towards Harry, Ron and Hermione who were sitting next to Neville.  "I would like to inform you all I am now a teacher," he says in his thick accent. I never understood Hagrid fully but I got the gist of it. "Can  I ask which subject?" I say raising my voice at the end. "Care of magical creatures " he replies.

Hagrid walks away and we get back to our conversation. "Ron, you were with her did it really happen?" Seamus says from across the table."When what happened?" He asks. "When Charlotte made a Patronus!" Seamus exclaims. "Oh yeah. It was really cool." "Can we not talk about this?" I say embarrassed. I don't see why there's such a big fuss.

I look across the way to the Hufflepuffs. I lay my eyes on the most handsome person ever. Like if perfect was a person, it's Cedric Diggory. Okay, let me clear this up. Just because I think someone's attractive doesn't mean I like them. Although it doesn't stop me from looking at him. There's no way he would ever go near me. He's 16 and I'm just ..... Oh Merlin, how long have I been staring? I snap out of my daydream just as Ron says "Your drooling".

I raise my hand to my mouth, wiping away my drool. Cedric definitely caught me staring because he sends a wink right to me. I turn bright red. I put my head down on the table.

The first years enter the great hall. They walk through the hall awkwardly until the reach the top. "Now when I call your name you will sit on the stool, I shall place the hat on your head and we shall find out which house you will be placed in, " Professor McGonagall says like she does every year.

"Katie Williams"

"RAVENCLAW "

"Liana Johnson "

"SLYTHERIN"

"Tyler Prewett"

"GRYFFINDOR"

We cheer and clap for Tyler. I stopped listening after that. For the rest of the sorting me and Neville just spoke about the pressures of being a pureblood. After all the many, many speeches the dinner is served.

I've given up talking now and just listened to Fred and George Weasley. The two of them are the funniest people in the whole of Hogwarts. "And then my mother almost killed me because she thought I was George," Fred says talking about the time George gave Ron an acid pop. "It burnt a hole through my bloody tongue," Ron says still chewing on a piece of chicken.

Suddenly I feel a tap on my back. I turn around to see Pansy. "What do you want?" I ask. I haven't spoken to her since the first day of first year. "Blaise wants to know if what happened on the train was real." She whispers bending between the aisle. I nod. Her face turns in complete shock. "No way, attention, " she says, her jaw dropping.

I turn back around. I don't want to talk to that Slytherin slut." "Attention, attention," Dumbledore says taping a glass. "Although the start of the term only started a few moments ago, there is some start of year points to be given out" "What?" Ron mumbles. "So for her bravery and courage in protecting her friends and a professor against a dementor and being the youngest person ever to produce corporeal Patronus, Charlotte Peverell shall be awarded 40 points."

Clap's from Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff boom through the hall. When the clapping stops I turn back to Neville, who is now talking to Lavender."Nevs, I'm going to head up to the common room. I'll talk to you later." I say. "Bye, Charlotte." He says.

I stand up and walk over to Percy. I ask him what the password to the common room is and he whispers the answer in my ear. I thank him and walk out of the hall. I start walking in the direction of the common room. I am about halfway there when I hear footsteps behind me. I turn around and see Dean walking behind me.

"Why did you walk out? I mean it was the start of year feast. The last the I checked you wouldn't have passed up a chance to eat food, for a million gallons." Dean says walking over to me so we're face to face. Well more like face to neck. Dean's slightly taller than me.

"I'm really tired," I say leaning on the stone pillar that was behind me. "Do you not trust me?" he asks walking closer so I can feel his breath on my skin. I push my hair behind my ear "Of course I do," I say, confused. His hand slides up the pillar. "Then come with me," he says his eye shining in the dark. "Where?" I ask a small creeping across my lips. "Why don't you come and find out," Dean says, his hand outstretched waiting for me to take it. I slip my hand into his and say, "Let's go,"

He pulls me down a hallway and up some stairs, once we reach the top I realize that we are on top of the astronomy tower. "Why are we here," I ask. "Because I didn't want to go to the common room yet and if I came up here alone I would look like a loner." He says. I laugh at him, a smile spreading across my lips. " Your smile is beautiful." Dean whispers, his head close to mine. He continues, "I wish I could make you smile more often." I blush and look down. He hooks his finger under my chin and lifts my head so that he's looking in my eyes. I get a burst of courage and decide to ask, "Do you know what you could do to make me smile more?" Dean smiles and says, "No. What?" I smirk and more my head closer to his. "You could kiss me," I whisper to him, my lips brushing his.  He smirks. "Then I might just have to do that," He whispers before pressing his lips to mine.

His lips are soft and his kisses gentle. My arms travel up to and around his neck. I only stop when I hear a few familiar voices laughing. "Having fun" A voice rings out loud and clear from the other side of the tower. A voice that I grew up with. My brother. He'll tell my mother and father. I'm probably going to be killed. Maybe sent to an all girls school. When I snap back into reality Dean's gone.

Hey guys back again. Keep guessing on who we are. Remember to follow us and follow the spiders.
