They can't control my reality
The things they tell me aren't the cause for my bleeding

Their opinions don't dictate what I think
It's not like they can manipulate me

They're merely a....disturbance in the peace
These voices don't own my feelings

It's not as if they're drowning me
I just....don't want to breathe

They haven't ripped away my sanity
I just felt that it wasn't something I wanted to keep

It's not like these beasts are running rampant within me
There's no way they could get off their leash

They didn't fill me with this negativity
I just decided I preferred to hate

They can't hurt me,
They can't ever escape

They're just the monsters in my sleep..?
